We print quite a bit of duratex product. The 8oz with or without backer is nice. For our reseller clients, we always include a 3rd layer of solid vinyl on the perimeter to avoid grommet tear out. May want to consider something like that for the baseball field... Im unable to speak to the cost...

Grimco has been buying up a bunch of the smaller distributors. We have access to 2 Grimco branches here, North NJ and Philly and get deliveries from both. If they dont have what we need we go to Harbor in MD or others down our list. 99% of the time we have good experience with Grimco but...

The max metal from Grimco isnt always extruded flat and can have low spots. I would have to say that is your likely cause without seeing photos. Its bitten us in the past as well.

which printer is this specifically? We used to get vertical bands on our old 850s. Consistent across the entire printed area or specifically just a certain area on the platen?

We like to do that way as well when the client is using clear polycarbonate or similar.

Welcome aboard...not far from ya. DCS Is the only printer I have physically seen in person ...at the AC Sign Show....that can do the ADA depth on the small plaques and such to be compliant. They seem to be solid machines but slow to print.
