  1. How to explain outsourcing?

No, but we are their dealerships, they manufacture, we consign and sell their brands just like the Ford lot down the street does. We just don't have to stick to just one "brand on the lot".
  2. Threaded a VERY small screwhead

And the more we farm out everything to the rest of the world to build for us, the more tools we'll need to fix em'. Now you gotta figure out if something is SAE, metric, imperial, if it's phillips or pozidrive.... Not to mention all the different security fasteners so you can't open what you...
  3. How to explain outsourcing?

Some you just have to tell the story to... Your car wasn't made at the dealership you bought it from. It was made by a manufacturer, with parts that came from vendors. Sign shops are the same, we partner with manufacturers and vendors who provide unique to the industry components and parts that...
  4. Threaded a VERY small screwhead

They're PosiDrive. There's a difference between them and phillips, even though they look similar. The blade angles are different, they have wider, more squared off blades and shorter tips. Some big box stores stock them, some don't. Best bet is an actual hardware store, or auto parts stores that...
  5. How To Cut Aluminum Composite Material

Use a fine blade, no less than 60 tooth carbide tip, works good for other stuff too, we usually use 80 tooth carbide tip.
  6. _

2023 was an incredibly great, possibly a record year. January isn't over yet, and we already have jobs stacked up months out. 2024 should be as good, or better if it keeps up at this pace. :toasting:
  7. How To Cut Aluminum Composite Material

You can do it manually like Boudica does. We just use a panel saw, but you can use a skill saw (with correct blade), jig saw for shapes. Stomp shear works good, router, cnc if you have one... any will work Just use a sanding block, file, or de-bur tool to clean any rough or sharp edges. Shops...
  8. Need Help Need help to find a new supplier!

Right on the money. This is the biggest thing.... Our vendors aren't grocery stores with fixed prices, you can negotiate on materials, especially the ones you use most often, and the price gets lower if they know they can count on you for a certain volume.
  9. Need Help Need help to find a new supplier!

Never rely on just one vendor. Set up accounts with several. We have a couple of main vendors that we use for most orders, one for stuff like vinyls, lamps, sign parts, sheet stock, etc, we're on their delivery route, they deliver every Tuesday, the other is a about 200 miles from us, so we get...
  10. Need help matching window tint

Figured the blue would be way more intense, colored glass isn't made to make the world look blue like tints are. At least they picked it, and it's at ground level where its not super obvious.
  11. Need Help Suction cup marks on material

Went through this before I retired. We ordered 10+ pallets of sintra at a clip, and had so many problems with marks, scuffs, and other contamination issues. We went through countless suppliers, and finally found one that supplied us with stuff so good that we could just unseal a pallet and it...
  12. Best way to re-do this wrap

What? You didn't incorporate Gino's profile pic? Just shameful.... Looks great!!!
  13. Is this an Arkansas thing?

    Ummmm... ;)
  14. Is this an Arkansas thing?

3/4 oz Creme de noyaux (it's a french liquor, like a amaretto on steroids), 3/4 oz white creme de cacao, 1.5oz heavy creme, shake with ice, strain, garnished with grated nutmeg. For the frozen one it's blended with vanilla ice cream, like a shake with a kick.
  15. Is this an Arkansas thing?

We come close here... Wisconsin does everything frozen, a favorite is the "frozen pink squirrel", a lot of people just call it a frozen squirrel. it's a pink squirrel blended with ice cream:toasting:
  16. Stock vector

There are so many sources for both free and paid for vectors, and have used most of what others posted. Personally I search through and use what's out there more for inspiration and draw my own, rather than using something that will be the same as hundreds of others are using. Especially for a...
  17. Rasterlink stuck at locating & printing

Had a hunch that's what it would be. Glad ya' got it figured out.
  18. Is this an Arkansas thing?

Well don't hog it all! Send a few degrees my way! I have the only office without a window. They know how easily I get distrac... Oh look, a squirrel!
  19. Weeding reflective

I use the Oracal 5650RA all the time, also stock the 5600, and some 3M. Weeding can be painful & slow with any, but I've never experienced the stringy adhesive. Probably a bad roll or batch, maybe it was on the shelf too long and past it's prime.
  20. Is this an Arkansas thing?

You all need to learn to share dammit! We're not even getting above zero for the next few days, probably till the weekend. Next week they're calling for 20's & 30's with a cocktail of rain, snow, sleet, ice... All the fun stuff.
