    80 plus. I only work on machines with the DX4 heads. Currently have 2 sp300, 1 sp540 and an RS640 for sale... Basically stick to to the Roland XC SP VP and RS models. Do have a couple of clients that have old JV3 printers too. Also the reason is the turnaround time and freight pricing. Heads out...

    Check and ensure the ink solenoid is energizing and opening..You can jam them open for a test.

    The suctions fans will be full of dust and lint, and your suction pressures will be down. Also make sure to always use the media edge guide clamps.

    Just replace the two print heads. They are not worth the trouble and the possible grief they will bring on you. Make sure to get genuine print heads.

    The SP series are only 7 1/8inches.... Longer ones have to be bent to fit inside the covering.

    There is no guarantee with any printhead once unpacked and fitted. This is why every step needs to be taken to insure no spikes when fitting them. Never had a failure yet, touch wood and never had a printhead fail to print after installation..28 dx4 heads fitted since end of covid lockdowns..

    Genuine DX4 heads will be packaged with Made in Japan on them..
  16. head strike, what do i do now?

    That looks more like just blocked nozzles and not damage from a head strike. As others have stated, suck inks through to all dampers, do a head soak for a day and then run a hard clean a few times.. Do that and then do another test print and post it for us..
