Do your test in versaworks, alternatively go into the service mode menu, arrow down to test print, enter, arrow down to fill and print that pattern.
Also a nozzle test print would be handy to verify the heads are ok.
I hit ignore on a couple of them yesterday and it totally cleaned up my page.
It was getting bad. You also need to hit refresh after each ignore, to see if there are any others you missed.
Download InterCon Nettool to first read what the IP address of the printer is. Note, you require a crossover ethernet cable to run a SP540v. The 540 doesn't actively show the IP address in the printer menu.
Need to calibrate regularly, either changing rolls, changing width or types of media...The tech would have only calibrated it for the media that was in the printer when they were setting the calibration.
Presuming your captops are in good condition, run a couple of cleaning cycles, then try another test print.
If no print, you will need to check the two fuses for the heads, on the main board.
Recheck your encoder strip and make sure the clamp and spring are not bottoming out. They sometimes look tight but are not fully floating between ends.
