  1. Suggestions Hand Painting Signs

Will send them to you over the weekend. Don't have my Kindle here at work.
  2. Suggestions Hand Painting Signs

There are actually some great "classic" books about lettering, too- available as PDFs that I downloaded to my Kindle. Pretty cool stuff, and plenty informative.
  3. Extra Software that I don't need, where do I sell?

That Graphix Advantage is a program that doesn't even exist anymore- it's nearly 20 years old and I don't think it'll run on anything past XP (though I may be wrong there). Pretty much the same deal with the Corel software (though it still exists as version 2017), though those aren't quite as...
  4. Does anyone own a Industrial CNC?

Depends on what you're going to use it for. If you're only cutting plastic, paper, PVC or similar "soft" products, a Zund or an Esko will be top notch equipment for you. If you're cutting aluminum or other non-ferrous metals, you want something "beefier." My preferred router is MultiCam (having...
  5. Does anyone own a Industrial CNC?

It's fine for a hobbyist, but it's really not a production table.
  6. Employee Morale

Not in my workspace, thanks! I'm okay with the beer part of it, though.
  7. Glass Adhere Contour Cutting

Haven't used it in a Summa, but I had no issues at all cutting it with a Mimaki plotter after printing on a Mutoh. I used the same settings I used for cutting PASK paint mask.
  8. UV bonding

Something like what many dentists use now- an acrylic adhesive that's activated with a UV light? Can't say that I've ever heard of it being used for letters- so I guess I learned something today! It appears you'll need them to be a bit more specific as to the type they'd like you to use.
  9. Vutek color swith

Our RIP allows us to change color sets (CMYKLcLm) for our HP. Maybe look for a similar option on yours?
  10. HP360 Lamination Problems

Holy crap! That almost looks like you'd be able to reuse the vinyl after you peeled the print off!
  11. Where to buy Embossed Metal "Tags"

Huh... Guess my memory's not as good as it used to be! Good luck.
  12. Where to buy Embossed Metal "Tags"

I seem to recall getting something similar from Stouse a number of years ago.
  13. Customer of the Day

I must disagree... the hilarious part is that the customer was that worried about a Dodge Neon looking good.
  14. Need Help How to get this effect?

Hard to tell from the photos, but it kind of does look like the entire panel is illuminated. The Gyford stand-offs could be the answer. Or, as DerbyCity mentioned, flat strips on the back.
  15. Looking to buy a CNC

Like any equipment, it depends on what you're going to do with it. Yes, Zunds are fantastic, but they're not really made to cut aluminum. For a fab shop type environment, MultiCam and AXYZ would be my top choices. For finishing printed panels and such, it'd be the Zund or an Esko.
  16. Need help with building sign

I previously worked for the company that did the sign, and put the graphics on it- it's cut vinyl on a bent aluminum pan (.080", if I recall correctly) that was mounted on a 1" or 1-1/2" aluminum square tubing frame. Addendum: Also, the sign is maybe 60" x 24", give or take.
  17. Question Laser Engraving supplier

Or a rotary engraver. Either would do what they're look for. So would a router, but it seems like overkill on the equipment side of things.
  18. Need Help tax exemption responsibilities (TX)

Not in Texas, but I know here in Georgia, we have to have a copy of the buyer's tax exemption forms on file to prove they were legit, and copies are included in revenue reports (if I recall correctly).
  19. Need Help Printable Vinyl for Outdoor Bicycle Repair Kiosk

Me, too- that's not a print vinyl, and that's certainly not a long-term laminate. Agree here, too. I prefer 3M- so I'd suggest IJ180 or IJ8624 (depending on the surface finish of the paint) with a compatible laminate.
  20. CNC melting Acrylic

Very true, but I always considered the price difference worth it to not have to do a lot of post-cutting clean up!
