Dan, have you looked at the HP r1000? IQ is better than anything UV cure except Swiss Q. Printheads are a 1/3 the cost and you would install them yourself as needed...I get about 18 months per head. It has the best white on the market, doesn't yellow or fade. And if you get the roll to roll you...
Part of the install is Onyx HUB which will give you accuracy of ink cost per job on every device running through Onyx Rip. You can pay someone to develop an in-house program but if you have an Onyx workflow, it would not be able to interact with your rip for that data. Also, you do realize that...
You can accommodate for everything your print shop produces and sells. It's web based hosted on Onyx server. You can access from any device in your shop.
I believe my comment led with ("I cannot comment on the 700/800") I don't have one. I know of its issues and I do know that HP is looking to resolve those issues or replace the hardware. I was correcting Larry on his comment on the R100/R2000. The Epson Surecolor has white ink in the s80 not in...
Take a look at Onyx Align. Super easy to implement. If you are using Onyx as a Rip, it will integrate with it for file submission and true cost of production.
I cannot comment on the 700/800 but the r1000 and r2000 are bullet proof. I think maybe your reseller was dumped or needs to be dumped by HP if they actually aid that to you...or they were trying to sell you a different flatbed. HP has and will continue to address all of their customers with...
Of all of your options to add a printer to a home business, HP latex is probably the best bet. Yes you will smell the adhesive and vinyl as your printer is curing the ink but the risk is far less than adding an eco-solvent platform. Remember eco is for cheap inks not environmentally friendly...
maybe old lamps? never saw one just shut down unless during a print where it could be power related, communication between the head board/lvds cable/main board
You have to remove the heater assembly from the printer to clean. It's probable the most important part of this service besides resetting all timers in service mode.
HP is probably the safest printer to purchase. Even if the unit has major issues, you can either buy a post warranty or pay them a flat fee of $1500 and they will fix every problem the printer is experiencing. Then even sell a reduced price warranty if desired.
I think if you are looking to acquire this company and its assets...equipment, you absolutely need to hire a technician preferably not associated with any reseller for the company and have each unit inspected and evaluated. The cost the owner paid for the equipment does not always translate to...
