we have found they have both gone down hill but FedEx has been more reliable over the past year and a half.
ups got to a point that they told us next day deliveries were not guaranteed but yet they were still charging for them??????
i guess i will just cut some high tack samples and see if they stick.
yeah they got a used van but it's definitely been around the block a few times..haha
thanks for the input
lettered this van the other day and the surface on the box is really slick. had trouble getting the cut lettering to stick while pulling the application tape off but usually if you get it to stick it's ok and after a few days it bonds better. anyway two days later it's curling in some spots. i...
this ladies and gentlemen is why i have tendinitis that can kill a horse...haha
no really my elbows are on fire 90% of the time...:(
(actually i have addressed the problem and have it under control but this career we have chosen can do a job on the elbows, wrists and hands for sure)
i normally just go with razor scrapers and elbow grease as mentioned already. i've done 4ft x 10ft window and no real issue. now i have seen some people use steamers and that has worked pretty good (at least in the video) maybe that's an option. not as high temp as using a heat gun or torch.
found that pic online but that is how i do it obviously you would have to adjust for the truck you are doing or i do just climb on the roof (i'm 182lb and don't do any damage)
the vinyl zapper works good but you have to be careful on the aluminum panels. if you go too heavy in an area it can remove the paint also...just a PSA
static cling has a tendency to to wrinkle for what ever reason so i pull some slack out on the roll as it's printing and that helps keep it flat as it goes through the printer
we make aluminum and lexan business cards. we have done them for a few customers but more so we make them in house for ourselves.
they are good samples for us. we print a lot of other items on aluminum and lexan so it just shows the customer what we can do and it has all our info on it.
also to...
it was the mactac BF clear with blue printing.
just a heads up- went back like 6-8 days later to install some other items and the marks were mostly gone and or not noticeable anymore
just tell them the truth but try to let them know when they place their order not after it's late. we are experiencing issues with many materials. some because of the shipping companies and some because the manufacturers are backed up and short staffed...good times
yeah UPS told us a couple weeks ago no guarantees on next day shipments but the good part is they will still charge you and take your money for next day deliveries
:confused::jr:
95% of the time the extra rollers aren't needed. at least that's been my experience.
we have 5 rolands and i very rarely have an issue. if and when i do then i add the extra rollers
i only have that issue when i print/use the white ink. definitely check ink settings and or updates but one way to get out of it is only use the 2 end rollers, don't use the manual rollers you add on. i only use the add on rollers when it's something with a super critical cut but truthfully...
