And you'd better make sure the glue is for polycarbonate. In my experience, the glues for acrylic and polycarbonate are different products.

I'd almost think your post-heater is on the fritz or maybe set too low and the prints aren't drying fully before they're rolled up.

Looking at the prices on their website, the Summas don't really seem terribly expensive, especially if you're happy with it and it works well.

I can't remember the last time I saw a splice in IJ180 (if ever), but I see it in rolls of 680- and we get ours directly from 3M. Just printed 9 rolls this week and 3 of them had splices.

We don't have that one, but we have an HP flatbed with a touchscreen and we put a piece of plastic over the screen to protect it. We change it every six months or so.

What version do you use? If it's an older one, it may no longer be supported. Just a thought.

Versacamm solvent? As in, you're going to laminate them? I'd suggest testing the laminate- not the vinyl. The matte laminate you use all the time might very well work just fine.

Because there's always going to be some folks who will cut corners (even if it's not safe or smart) if no one's watching. "Surprise" inspections can help cut down on that.
