Need to see more tests.. forget versa..Do the test from the machine.Check all cables to heads again and then do a test print. Then go into service mode, do a test print there. Go to menu and arrow down until you get to print test. Goto "full" and run the bands from there and post your results

Replace the scan motor and cutter carriage bearing..It is the engine of your machine and does all the work.

I order and fit them to all 300 and 540 printers I sell. They are correct specification and have never had a fail on them. Scan motor, endcoder strip, captops,dampers, pump, carriage bearings, and heads are all replaced before I send a printer out and have never had a complaint.

Heads are easy too. when changing out dampers, you are only 6 screws and 2 springs away from replacing the heads. Manual alignment and then digital alignment all done in about 30mins.

In 25 years, I have never replaced an encoder board on a 300 or 540.

The heads require a longer soak before you attempt to pull any more ink through. Those heads need to be wet for a good 12 hours if you want to have any chance of recovering them.

Its a go no go board.. Bridge it out and make sure cartridges are fully in place.

Yes its a dedicated fuse to protect the printhead.

If you spill any inks or cleaner on the cables and it runs down and causes a short, the fuse is your first line of defense.
