  1. Oracal 751RA anyone seen this?

Are you printing on it? You can, but it's not made in a clean room and you are rolling the dice with contamination?
  2. Need Help Lines in prints

With the pictures posted, it looks like your magenta print head is causing this. With the missing and deflected nozzle in the same position, there is no magenta being printed in a stripe. The yellow test print has a tiny bit of magenta and you can almost see it. the red and blue both have a lot...

Yep, install it wet - https://www.fellers.com/fellers-shopping/cat/sign-vinyls/sub/translucent-plotter-vinyl/set/orafol-8300-transparent-window-headlamp-chrome-overlay-vinyl
  4. Did I just buy a giant paperweight? Roland SP-300i

I ran a 540v and a Soljet 540 EX and the black brunt of the damage with head strikes causing deflected nozzles. I don't think we ever replaced any of the other heads. I believe yours has 2 heads, one with Black and Blue, and one with Magenta and Yellow. If I had to guess, once you get all the...
  5. Bad magenta printing on Roland VS 640

I believe that is called dot gain when colors bleed together and create a pattern like that. With heavy ink loads, and or not enough drying time the ink drops clump together and form that pattern. Used to have that problem a lot with an Avery profile printing browns and hunter greens.
  6. Avery sf100 true shadow

I have used to tint my vehicle's headlights but haven't removed it yet. Looks good several years later, maybe even 3 or 4.
  7. Did I just buy a giant paperweight? Roland SP-300i

Looks like you are getting cross-contamination in the Yellow and Magenta too. This happens when the sponge in the capping station swells up and touches the head. I could just be the lighting on the image as well.
  8. Install Checklist

Checklists are tough. To a great employee, they feel like a waste of time, big brother intruding and micromanaging. To a bad employee, they are marginally effective. I think your better off creating an install kit for each employee with basic tools and make them responsible for it. I suggest at...
  9. Discussion Choosing the right 60"+ LAMINATOR

I wouldn't pay for the heat assist. Silvering goes away in a short amount of time. If you heat and prestretch the laminate it may cause failures. Spend your money on the other options that will really pay off.
  10. Color code: red 23 & blue 94 ?

Could those be vinyl colors pulled from a vinyl color palette on Flexi or Signlab? If the design is simple it might have been from the days of cut vinyl, or it could be a palette from the day's offset inks? Knowing what it is may not be of any help if there isn't a viable way to translate it...
  11. Suggestion for cut vinyl wall lettering

Adhesion on walls painted walls is typically poor and I would suggest the best cast vinyl. Wall paint has an orange peel texture and if the vinyl shrinks at all, it will only be in contact with the high spots. Unless you have a huge wall and you know what paint they used, it's cheaper to spend...

You can always try here as well https://mr-clipart.com/int/searchvehi.php.
  13. Color banding on start of some prints - mainly yellow or magenta

Make a block of each color, C M Y K, side by side and try and isolate which color or colors are having the problem. The common theme between all your prints is Magenta. If it is just magenta, replace the damper - ink starvation.
  14. Need Refresher on 'Head Soaking'

It's been a while, so the terminology will be off. We parked ours in the manual head clean area at the far side of the printer. Then, I squirted some cleaning solution on a piece of glass and pushed it against the head for 10 mins or so. You might be able to tape or bungee it up if you need to...
  15. Need Help Does anyone recognize this extrusion?

Might look through their catalog https://www.outwater.com/
  16. over silicone joints on a trailer

Why do people insist on using calendared vinyl for vehicle graphics? It will shrink in a year and leave dirt rings around all your graphics. When you have to remove it, it will leave half the adhesive behind, and if you're in a cold climate, it will tent over the rivets and crack. That trailer...

  18. Sticker Calculator?

That's something you should do yourself. No one on here knows your fixed cost used to determine your labor rate, Nor your machine cost, ink costs, material costs, waste, efficiency... Make sure you set a minimum for you digital printing process as well, or you'll hemorrhage money on the low...
  19. Need Help Color shifts part way through print

My guess is the dampers are getting clogged and starving the head for ink. As you print, oversized clumps of ink in the damper get shaken up and sucked into the screen. Over the years these oversized particles build up in the damper. When you stop printing and the ink flow stops, the particles...
  20. Clipart of Dime in logo...copyright issues?

I have read the restrictions years ago and all I remember it talking about was the bills. They had to be a minimum of 30% larger and you can't print both sides. Here is a link to the requirements - https://www.uscurrency.gov/media/currency-image-use
