I haven't read that one. Drive by Dan Pink is good.
We just had a company lunch where each person was asked to bring 3 ideas with them to help improve our efficiency(there are nine of us at our shop). Next month, we're going to set aside a day to have a "FedEx Day"(google it) to implement...
Cool! Do you find that you have to protect the sign face from getting scuffed/scarred by the pieces on the rack that hold the sign in place? How big of a sign can you put in there(height x width)? How thick? Is a pan face too thick?
I might have the opportunity to buy a truck or van from a glass company at a good price. They have racks on them for carrying glass and I was thinking that might be a pretty good fit for a shop truck. We could just throw a 4'x8' sign in the rack and the posts on the truck(or on the roof rack...
Nice! I'm working on a similar Christmas gift for my father-in-law - a model replica of his old race car. As it turns out, he had a firebird on the hood and I haven't been able to find one yet. Where did you get that one?
We have three Graphtec plotters that need some TLC - new blade holders, cut strips and blades.
I was a little surprised at how much a new OEM blue top blade holder costs($105 each). If I just needed one, it wouldn't be that big of deal but since I'm buying three, I'm looking around to see what...

I ordered a couple of samples to make sure that the quality, finishes, etc...

edit - you have to go to the "bird's eye" view...
We had a 5 x 10 AXYZ with a rotary tool changer, 2nd Z axis and vacuum hold down. It was(and still is, even though we sold it) a great machine.
I also went to one of Dan Sawatzky's workshops and he had a MultiCam. It seemed equally well built.
I think it really comes down to who you're...
