  1. New HP Latex 700 and 800 series - with White ink

We mostly print spot white only. Either in 6 passes or 12 passes. So speed is similar to regular printing. We also do white flood for second surface mounting. We print with a window perf pattern to install on the interior side and customers prefer it to using tape and it's less expensive than...

I got a 700w for almost 2 years now and never had a problem other than it was my fault. Latest updates changed few details and HP is making a free parts upgrades. I've received the big box and waiting for the tech to install everything (not sure what are the upgrades). My last printer was a...

  4. Wrap material suggestion for color change

Did you ever tried Hexis? How is it compared to Avery and 3M? I know very well I'm not starting with something easy. This is why I do it over the winter. And my beer fridge is in the garage, less than 4 feet of the motorcycle lift. ;)
  5. Wrap material suggestion for color change

I'm in Canada. From my current suppliers, the brand I can have by the yard is 3M, Avery, Hexis and Metamark.
  6. Wrap material suggestion for color change

I've been in the sign business for almost 20 years now but we don't do vehicles. I would like to try wrapping my motorcycle (indian challenger) this winter to change the color and would like to know what brand/series of material I should choose. My first idea was going with 3M or avery but I...
  7. what adhesive laser cut plastic install

On drywall, I use 3m 4492B (that is a 30mil tape that won't destroy the drywall when removed) or 3M 4910 in 40mil if the letter are big (over 6 inches). Make sure to use a minimum of 20mil thick tape, but I recommend to go 30mil and over.

  9. Summa S3

Does anyone have a real world example for the creasing tool? Normally, I see this on rigid material but not on roll material.
  10. VHB tape container

I'm looking for a plastic container to carry VHB tape roll on install sites. I saw someone using this but I can't remember where and all my reaseach did not found anything. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks. Ben
  11. Summa S3

Does the camera is now compatible with Mac? I run Caldera via a mac mini and was told the camera only work on a pc with the S2. I'm not totally convinced the camera is a really good value either. The take-up tho, I will take it for sure.
  12. Looking for slitter recommendations

I know fotoba and flexa. They are indeed very expensive. I also know the royal soverign trimmer. I've tried it and it's not very precise.
  13. Looking for slitter recommendations

I wish I could found something similar with horizontal cutter that would cut at specific size.
  14. White Spots in black prints

It look like contamination/plasticizer in your material. I see this often especially in banner material or a roll of material that is old. Check if it does the same thing with another vinyl.
  15. Summa Take up Add-on

I'm planning to change my cutter too and the take-up is in my list. I've never found a real user feedback tho.
  16. digital print under epoxy floor

And do you stick it directly on the floor or you make a first layer of epoxy, then the print and top it with epoxy? Did you ever do a whole floor? Do you do butt joint or overlap with this material?
  17. digital print under epoxy floor

Do you laminate the print? What printer/ink do you use?
  18. digital print under epoxy floor

My concern is the reaction between the epoxy and the material/ink. Like the epoxy creating an chemical reaction and ''burn'' the material.
  19. digital print under epoxy floor

Well, I never tried it. But I saw some videos of installs. Some are just using poster paper and apply glue on the backing before pouring the epoxy over it. I would have a concern going this route. I've called all my supplier and few manufacturers rep and no-one could tell me for sure what...
  20. digital print under epoxy floor

I've got a concern about the material shrinking especially for the butt joint or lift in anyway causing problem with the epoxy floor. Maybe the material is fixed there with the epoxy and will never move? Did you ever tried it?
