    If you're out of warranty, just defeat the switch. Super easy to do. I have a LEJ-640 I did it to. Of course, if you defeat the switch and people aren't going to use their brains, stick their hand in the machine and lose a finger ..... Don't point at me. LOL. Can't help with the scan...

    I looked up the MSDS on the cleaning fluid. It says not to keep in freezing temperatures, so I'm guessing it will freeze.
