UV Scratches, nature of the beast. The ink sits on top of the substrate, it doesn't soak in....... Not sure about any coating you can use on fabric. Someone will chime in.

I'm guessing it's for a police department, all the police cars around me have reflective the same color as the car. so they are still "marked" cars, but you can't tell till your headlights hit them.

Don't do solid vinyl..... I had 10 windows crack at a business due to solid vinyl (even tho Avery told me it was okay to do) Thank god for insurance, those windows were huge!

Looks like the cyan head is clogged, try doing a powerful cleaning, Makes me wonder what their cleaning schedule was, my flatbed that gets used daily has only had two heads replaced in 4 years.

We have a LEJ-640, I've never done backlit with it..... I'm assuming the color would not show through since it's UV ink and not translucent like other inks.... could be wrong. One thing I can say is that compared to a higher end machine it's SLOW. prints fine, just slow. If I print a 4x8 sheet...

You'll have to wait for someone who uses onyx to chime in here. Maybe you can't change it in onyx? Maybe adjust the ink limit?

Backlit is usually double struck so the color isn't washed out when it's lit.
