  1. Drop "business" phone line?

We use a company called voip.ms, they have a digital receptionist that can do exactly what you are looking for, it's a bit tech-y to set up, but they are pretty helpful.
  2. Any word on an HP Latex flatbed printer?

I'm skeptical due to the huge amount of heat needed to cure latex ink, heat and flatbed printers do not work well together due to material warping, there are enough issues with just the heat from the standard UV lamps causing material to warp and cause headstrikes.
  3. Epson surecolor S80600 ink dry time? vs Ecosol Max 2

I agree, the prints off our s80600 are extremely durable, I took my fingernail and scratched very hard on a print yesterday and I couldn't get it to leave a mark. Does your dealer have a demo machine you can try out and see if you get the same results off it.
  4. Need Help Printer Cutter for non-graphics business?

You need to factor in consumables such as ink, vinyl, laminate etc. Also you will be paying an employee an hourly wage to run the machine. These printers are not just plug and play as it looks from the outside, there is quite a lot to learn.
  5. 3M Dusted Crystal installation

The 3m dusted crystal is one of the more difficult frosted films to apply, even when it's in good condition, it's mush more prone to creases and wrinkles. However it is on a plastic liner so you might be able to save it if you lay it flat on a table and soak the mask really well and peel it off...
  6. Epson surecolor S80600 ink dry time? vs Ecosol Max 2

I replied to this in the other thread, but to answer your question, we have not noticed any of these issues, all the prints we have done have been extremely durable and certainly wouldn't be affected by normal handling around the shop. I don't have any experience with wallpaper, have you tried...
  7. Need Help Epson surecolor Chrome GS3 ink problem

We have the s80600 and the prints are extremely durable, I've never printed on wall paper, but all the vinyl, banner and paper we've used has had excellent adhesion. Prehaps you are putting down too much ink for the media to absorb, have you tried lowering your ink limits?
  8. Need Help Roland TruVis VG-540 Print / Cut Issues with FlexiSign & Print (Version 12)

The only real way to test this is to run the same job from flexi and from versaworks. If it works fine from versaworks than it's a flexi issue, if not it's an issue with the machine. We had a vg640 that couldn't cut accurately to save it's life, so it is entirely possible it's an issue with...
  9. Laminate for Chapsticker Labels

I'm still not following you, I may be misunderstanding but if you are trying to print a label or a chapstick container (or any product really) how would reverse printing on clear material work, unless this iDot material somehow allows you to print onto the adhesive...
  10. Laminate for Chapsticker Labels

    Can you elaborate on this?
  11. Roland TrueVISSG540 Review

We had a horrible experience with 3 different VG-640 machines, to the point where we now have an Epson after 13 years of only Roland machines. I have also heard that they have made improvements to the machines and I hope that is the case, but I know the machines we got (3 different machines...
  12. paint masking

So this is a supply only job, the client is on the other side of the country. I spoke to the client and they have gotten these as "big self adhesive sheets" in the past and they apply them themselves, and paint. The logo is just 6 letters, about 12 feet tall each, and a swoosh, nothing...
  13. looking for new printer

I would test the materials on a latex before you commit, some materials do not react well to the heat of the latex machine.
  14. paint masking

I have a client who paints large industrial tanks for the petroleum industries, they asked me to supply a vinyl stencil for a tank they are working on, they need to paint a large logo 25' x 60' on the side. They are capable of applying the large vinyl sheets and painting. I am seeking advise...
  15. GRIMCOOOOO!! ANYONE ELSE HAVING PROBLEM WITH THEM?

I'm having issues with the Toronto branch not stocking enough ink for our epson s80600, they seem to be out of stock of it on a regular basis, and what they do have the only have 1-2 carts . I've tried to talk to them and their reply is that Epson has next day delivery to them so they don't...
  16. Are you guys finding it harder and harder to actually talk to a customer?

Having your customers text you opens up a big can of worms, unless you have a dedicated work phone that you leave at the shop when you go home they will be calling/texting you at any time day or night. We have one client who somehow got my cell number, she texts me constantly on the weekend...
  17. Are you guys finding it harder and harder to actually talk to a customer?

Wow, it only took 3 posts into a thread about people not answering their phone for someone to turn it political and blame Obama. This left vs. right bullshit is the biggest issue going on right now, no one sees anyone as a person anymore, just a rebublican or a democrat, the divisive nature of...
  18. First time to print onto 20oz Banner - need heat settings help!

Did you only order 1' more than what you needed? if you ordered from a place that cuts down from larger rolls and sells to you by the yard/foot, I hate to tell ya but you will end up short, digital materials need to be very clean, any grease from fingerprints, dust from the floor etc will ruin...
