  1. Need Help Roland Truevis sg-540 printer problem

Welcome to the "Roland had to buy back my printer cause they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it" club
  2. Opinion 2 posts and panel sign install rates?

It's going to depend on a lot of variables, around here the ground is mostly rock and clay, so it sometimes takes 2-3 hours to dig 2 holes 4 feet deep. I'm surprised you can get a landscape company to do it for $200, they wouldn't even show up to the site for that around here. We would be...
  3. Epson S80600 - White Ink Profiles

The machine should have come with a few white ink profiles pre installed, we have a few for 3m IJ180.
  4. outdoor rated pvc

Around here a sheet of 0.125" ACM is less expensive than a sheet of 0.25" PVC, so where are the cost savings?
  5. Vg 540 truevis question

Our VS was an amazing machine, slow but it was a tank, never had an issue with in the 5 years we owned it, traded it in on the VG 640 and the nightmare begain. in the end, Roland swapped the VG 3 times for new ones since they couldn't get it to work properly, we got them to swap us to a XR-640...
  6. Vg 540 truevis question

do you mean VG? Our VG 640 was set up as dual CMYK, and when it was working, it was an amazing printer, the issue was, it was broken more often than it was working.
  7. Vg 540 truevis question

Another thing to look out for, ours was giving us horrible banding after printing around 20 feet of material, it printed perfectly up untill around the 20 foot mark than it started banding like crazy, completely ruined a few banners that way! Also for your records, 2 of our 3 tru viz machines...
  8. Vg 540 truevis question

I hope it works out well for you, I went through 3 tru vis machines because Roland couldn't figure out what was causing the issues we were having. I was told our case is extremely rare and they have never had those many issues with multiple machines before, but I have read a few threads and...
  9. Vg 540 truevis question

I ran a true vis vg640 for a year and a half, we now run an Epson surecolor. My experience with the tru vis was not a positive one, I won't go into detail on here in the open due to some ongoing issues, but if you want to PM me I can go into detail.
  10. Vg 540 truevis question

It will continue to print as long as one of the bags has ink in it. You will get a flashing light on top of the empty bag but the printer will still run as normal.
  11. Suggestions HP Latex 335 vs 365

You have started multiple threads on this same topic, multiple people have given you good advise. You said yourself in one of the other threads that the latex prints you have seen haven't been up to snuff quality wise, so why are you now asking about the latex models? My advise from 15 years...
  12. Roland VP540 grainy images with light banding

Did your dealer offer any type of warrantee on the printer? I would be calling them in.
  13. Mimaki or Rolland ?

I'm still not sure that is correct, up until 2 days ago I've only ever run Roland printers for the last 13 years, I know Roland says that the Roland colour system library prints the same colour across all medias, But i havn't found that to be true, someone else with more experience in colour...
  14. Mimaki or Rolland ?

Not true at all, there are a ton of pantone colours that the roland machines (or any digital printer for that matter) can't hit, certainly out of the box no printer is going to just print pantone colours perfectly, there is a ton of work involved in getting correct colour.
  15. What would you guys charge for this install?

I would be around $175 each, but there are guys around here who would do it for $75 each.
  16. Need Help Code Violation: Can't park my commercial vehicle at my own house?!

By looking at the picture I can see a bunch of things that are bigger eyesores than your vehicle, the chipping/mouldy paint across the street, the satellite dish on the front of your neighbors house, the multi colour stars on your neighbours garage door, all of these things say "low end" more...
  17. Anyone else's work on here?

This company has been around for 25 years.
  18. Anyone else's work on here?

some of the engraved tags are ours, pretty much 75% of the signs are taken from other sign companies websites, a quick google reverse image search did the trick.
  19. Anyone else's work on here?

I was tipped off to a local competitor of mine using images from my website on their own, I did a few reverse image searches and found that apparently his signs are installed all over the world from Australia to Germany. Not sure what can be done about this from my end, so i thought I would...
  20. Banner Ups vs. Grommets

We use the power tape for most of our banners, no issues in 4 years, I think it looks cleaner since you dont have the fold over. I wouldn't use it for any heavy duty banners, but for day to day stuff it's great.
