Nobody is ever really ready for anything. Thirty years ago I got strung along on what should have been a simple job.
Got so angry I went out, bought a plotter, computer and software. Bumpy ride to be sure but I'm still around.
Wide format is nothing like the DeskJet in your office and it is...
Not sure if this will help. I run a Mimaki JFX200 at school. Dead slow but beautiful prints. It is a few years old and the newer Mimaki's are supposed to be faster. Don't know.
Prints on everything from static cling, SAV, banner, to students packaging prototypes, 4x8 sheets of whatever and...
How did you pull pessimism out of factual statements? Just because what I know to be the truth runs counter to your ideology?
Or do you live in some bubble with perfect employees, stellar customer service no matter where you go, orders arrive on time and in usable condition and nothing ever...
You can print PMS or other color charts from Flexi. You might find them handy when trying to "hit" color. Of course the printed PMS charts work better if you have a Pantone swatchbook for reference.
Comparing the printed color to the Pantone swatch can be a big help in a non-profiled...
My post wasn't a hijack was completely relevant. You're not grasping the concept of relevance, or being careful when you ask for advice or a recommendation.
In the time it takes to join and ask a question you can come up with hundreds of solutions.
Are they good? Don't know that's why you have...
Good question. I'm interested in this too.
This probably won't help but the yachts I work on are final buffed with Rejex polymeric wax.
91% IPA won't touch it, but one spray with Method all purpose cleaner, and a quick microfiber wipe results in a squeaky clean surface.
I've been getting the same thing on my Mutoh with JetFlex 13oz matte. I feel something has changed with the material. Never any issues until the last two rolls. Take up reel or not it makes it about 10-12 feet than buckles just like the OP. Twice in a row leads me to believe it isn't the...
Some ill informed folks think a $15 an hour wage will cure everything. It won't and will only make things worse. Prices of the most basic goods and services will rise.
Another aspect that people ignore is what happens when you have, for example a certified welder making 20 bucks an hour. You...
When I delivered the panels I told my client that in my eyes said company has ceased to exist. Also presented them with a $200 refund for the flaw. Fortunately getting the refund wasn't a battle with the sub contrator.
Flexi can do some weird stuff all by itself. Some time back I had a stock job that had no issues printing.
Same file I used for years, pull it up, print lam, cut everything's good.
Fast forward a bit and the client needs more decals. Sure no problem.
Open the file in Flexi and the decals...
Has nothing to do with wasting time. You need to do your own research and take your chances.
Case in point. I came here looking for recommendations for a very specific type of sign panel.
Prior to that I had done my research but wanted to hear form folks that regularly use that type of...
My Roland was plugged into a line voltage conditioner. My new Mutoh has a similar unit that also protects from spikes and lightning. Even the ether cable runs through it to completely isolate the printer.
Window perf without laminate is the easiest material to install. It has built in air egress holes.;)
Laminated is more difficult and requires consistency of application.
And like UncleBun said, do not install wet.
As far as install temp I recently wrote about cold weather installs...
Some adhesion promoters will kill the adhesive/vinyl. Butt joint like Dan360 suggested would have been the ticket.
Boudica has a point too. Never know if they're using machines to scrub the floor.
