Not sure how it works. I haven't had any client installs yet, just testing on the shop truck. So far it sticks better than magnets. May want to reach out to Fixxon and get a sample.
Maybe try Fixxon material. It's a material that I remember from a couple decades ago. Company went out of business but it seems Fixxon has resurrected the product. It's a non-magnetic magnet material replacement. I have a rectangle of it on my truck and it's been through the car wash at...
First question to answer is if you have enough work to justify a flatbed or just want it. Second question you need to answer is if it's even worth fixing.
Talk to a DCS rep and ask what a worse case rebuild would cost. Then base your decision to purchase and base your offer on that.
If i'm not in the classroom I rarely use Adobe anything.
Adobe and their rolling upgrades are a PITA for students. TypeKit issues have been unreal lately. Not sure what they did to "F" that up but they did and a fine job.
Text has to be converted to outlines on every project or it will fail...
Buy an Ether cable checking device. Bought mine from a PC shop for less than 20 bucks. Eliminates the "wonder if my cable is good" question. I even "ring" new cables before installation. Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good.
Profile issue.
When you say you'v printed jet black I assume you mean full coverage black not grayscale.
Grayscale images are completely different.
Without a good output profile you will get color casts like you are experiencing.
There is a way to "trick" the printer but it involves...
Thank you.
They definitely believed in leverage. Yikes!!!
Its initial bankruptcy filing lists assets of $500,000-$1 million and liabilities of $1 million-$10 million, owed to nearly 300 creditors.
The filing does not include amounts owed to specific creditors.
Makes me wonder if there was...
Two signs? Ummm...no. Unless you know for a fact they're willing to pay for all the time you have into searching, phone calls, emails etc...tell them you can't find them.
Profit wise you were already in the hole just picking up the phone.
Helpful tip: Tell them to check with the place they...
Anybody hear of this shop? I was talking to a supplier yesterday and she said Acorn closed abruptly.
Couldn't stay afloat after a client wasn't paying a half-million dollar invoice. 43 people out of work.
Would like to know more details. Especially the numbers side of it.
BTW it's not just the roundy rounders it's all of them. Friend of mine owns a dragster. I did a partial wrap, sponsors etc...on said dragster. All custom one off work. Did some bodywork and paint too. Charged a fair price and he paid it. Some years later he wants an updated wrap.
I bid...
I assume this is a "roundy pounder" so here goes.
First rule of lettering or wrapping race cars is don't do them.
They will spend tens of thousands of dollars on an engine then spend countless dollars more on suspension parts etc...
When it comes to getting their car done all they do is whine...
Sounds like the OP could benefit from a custom Excel setup. Trying to use a "one size tries to fit all situations" program for highly specialized number crunching usually causes issues.
I've been watching my wife write "programs" in Excel for her employer. They managed to get rid of some...
Said it before I'll say it again. People are getting lazy and the internet has given rise to a whole new class of slackers. Come here asking the most basic how-to questions then get salty when you call them on it.
Crack a book or better yet get a job at a shop that does the things you want to...
Interesting. Never heard of silk screening on walls but why not? If there is that much profit to be had buy some supplies and figure it out
Fastest way to screen print something is to cut 4mil vinyl and apply to a washed screen.
Saves all the work of "burning" films, working with emulsion...
Never heard of the epilepsy thing but won't say it isn't possible. One thing you can get is cancer from welding stainless. Hexvalent Chromium fumes will absolutely and permanently "F" you up.
Liver and lungs are the most affected. COPD is a known side effect.
