Go into power settings on the Windows Operating system and tell it to never go to sleep, and tell it to never let hard drives sleep.

Used to happen to ours all the time....easy fix. Just run some 28" x 6" bands of 100% yellow and it'll clear it out.

Have you done the unidirectional and bi directional calibrations? Did it help? Also, what happens if you rotate the image 90 degrees? Does this happen to all art?

Can you explain, in depth, your process for this? If we have issues we end up file>save as...TIFF> then bring it back into illustrator and drop a cutline over it and it usually fixes it IF flattening transparencies produces funky results and we end up stumped. But how are you explaining to do it??

ya I have tried winplot and can't even begin to figure it out. We do all of our design on another computer and dropbox it over to the rip/plotter computer so I'dlike to be able to just drag an eps file into the cut software and hit cut. Basic features would be good like color separation.
