Thanks...I've done a couple. :)
The third video is acrylic letters with VHB tape. The pattern is a regular outline pattern, no pounce holes - just an outline of the letters. I have a small piece of wood with a very sharp brad driven through it. I use that to mark the 'corners' of the letters...
Been playing around with time-lapse videos. Need to figure out how to find & add music.
Edit: Added music to 2nd and 3rd video.

Just a thought (because I had a similar issue lately, only with a much heavier sign) there have been quite a few recent reports of graphics failing to adhere to painted walls. It turns out the increasing use of low-VOC paints is the culprit. Something in them negatively affects tapes &...

So honest question, what percentage of people does that work on?
The kicker is that what works for one person is going to be viewed as a total annoyance to the next.
This world is so driven by instant gratification and getting everything immediately (questions/answers via email, texts, etc.)...
Thanks for the responses.
Everyone's business is a little different obviously. I primarily "sell" (offer) my installation services to other sign companies. So the challenge for me is making the initial contact and trying to determine if I can be of assistance / if they have a problem I can...
Thanks for the responses.
I would imagine "back in the day" (pre-internet/email/text) when the only options were the phone or a personal visit, it was a little bit easier to market yourself. I would think people wouldn't have been as annoyed with a phone call or personal visit as they might be...
I was listening to a program on NPR a while back that was discussing how people of differing ages prefer to be contacted. It basically showed that even with the easier (digital) methods we now have for communication, that communication is becoming more of a challenge due to the way people of...
You don't owe me a thing...I'm happy to help out.
If it were me, I would go a little larger when you oversize it so you don't see the old panel behind it as much when you're viewing it from the ends....maybe ½" or so? Maybe a 54" x 4½" overlay panel.
After re-reading this, I think my first option would be to make a new panel the same shape as the old one but slightly over-sized. Apply your new lettering to the new panel, remove the old lettering from the old panel, install the new panel onto the old panel with VHB tape.
I think your biggest issue would be trying to match the new vinyl lettering to the existing vinyl lettering. Unless you know exactly which vinyl they used, the chances of it matching are slim. Different brands, different sheen, etc.
I would provide a replacement panel with all new lettering...
For large sizes or quantities of windows, I use a window bucket, mop and squeegee. I add a little Joy dish soap to plain water...if it works for professional window cleaners it works for me.
