  1. recommended adhesive for mitered acrylic

Weld-On 3 or 16. 3 is watery thin and works nice for capillary application and sets up very fast. 16 is syrupy and gives you a bit more working time.
  2. Vinyl mounted to masonite?

Should be fine if it's indoors.
  3. Backpainting 2nd Surface Vinyl

UV coated poly, 2nd surface vinyl, backsprayed.... Good to go.
  4. Mounting Gemini letters on granite

Granite doesn't tend to crack. It WILL break out on the back when the bit punches through if the granite isn't adhered to a backer, but since this is an outside wall, that shouldn't be an issue. 42 holes, no cracks, just break-out. Skip to 4:50 to see what it does to the back...
  5. Mounting Gemini letters on granite

An SDS rotary hammer delivers a lot more impact energy than a hammer drill.
  6. Mounting Gemini letters on granite

It'll take about 2 hours. How exactly would you go about mounting a (edit: an 18") formed plastic letter with VHB and silicone?
  7. Mounting Gemini letters on granite

I third that. SDS rotary hammer. NOT a hammer drill. If you don't have an SDS, now's the time to invest in one.
  8. Logo design, past and future...

With someone posting yet another link to one of those crowd-sourcing logo design sites, it made me think of the transition the industry has taken from hand-painted signs to vinyl signs. Hand-painted signs requires talent and years of practice and is obviously a SKILLED profession. It still...
  9. a heat gun for me?

I don't do wraps, so I haven't used it in the way your asking about, so I can't really answer your question.
  10. a heat gun for me?

I don't do wraps, but I think this is one of the best guns on the market. Adjustable in 50° increments from 150° to 1100°, LCD display, kickstand, hanging loop. I have it and don't have any complaints. DeWalt D26960
  11. New Logo for fairly new sign company

    Is there a "Like" button...?
  12. Hilt TE 4-A18 & DeWalt DCH213

I'm not exactly drinking the Hilti KoolAid quite yet. The rotary hammer is definitely nice but only performs marginally better than the DeWalt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhBdm3WeUC4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19iF_4vDV38 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN0XFXYhqUE

Thoughts on Black + Deckers new logo? Before and after:
  14. Looking for Aluminum

Not sure what your application is, but I don't think you'll find it in structural aluminum. In architectural aluminum I don't think you'll find it in 1/16".
  15. Opinions Needed!

  16. New Logo for fairly new sign company

Danggit Pat, look up (again) lol ^
  17. Show me your business logo

Honestly curious...., and I'll preface by saying I like your logo...but is there a reason he only has three fingers and a thumb? Is that the norm on retro characters maybe?

  19. New Logo for fairly new sign company

So you did vinyl for beer money and now you're fixing "box" signs....as in illuminated cabinet signs?
  20. Very annoyed.

I have a pretty standard two-thought process for stuff like this: 1.) This isn't the kind of customer I want to deal with. 2.) If I go out of business because I didn't take on customers like this, I don't want to be in business. That makes it much easier to give them your price and let the...
