I take it there are different text for each of those 100? If that's the case, what about a print merge whereby you create 1 that includes extra characters then using an excel spreadsheet to set the names. A separate cell for each character. Probably just as much trouble though.
Just spitballing...
Sorry if this has been covered already. Why is there not a "tension sensor" to PAUSE a print if a high rate of tension is detected from the take up reel. We've wasted a lot of material over this issue. 99% of roll media is glued to the core so you'll have 3 ft of material left on the roll but...
Bleeds can have there place but in order to maximized material usage such as a 4 x 8 sheet of coroplast one can fit 10ea 18 x 24 signs but not if there are bleeds involved. Any bleeds can easily be added on my end.
Don't know if it's a "rookie" mistake or many "schooled" artists are trained to embed the fonts instead of converting them. We re-iterate all the time when we're asked what type of we'd like. "pdf with fonts converted, no prepress marks or crop mark, and no bleeds" then we find out they have no...
Same when we had our Mimaki. It was the easiest setup we had. Just about anyone in the shop could run it. Not since switching to the HP though.
As for being the "correct way". Don't care about that. I care about speed and making money.
What a can of worms you've opened again!
I can run circles around any adobe user with my 10yr old Corel Graphics Suite. Guarantee you'll need both and possibly more. You're not just designing, you're taking every wanna be graphic artist's crappy artwork and making it usable in some capacity. You...
Only stuff we have with a backer like that is IJ35 which we have priced lower as an everyday yard sign type vinyl. We use IJ180 for most vehicle wraps and occasionally for outdoor signage.
I can't believe it! You're jumping right in and getting right back into your old ways!
Sorry, couldn't resist. lol
Welcome back, did they put you through a rehabilitation class?
We've had similar problems with reg marks on window perf. What our print tech came up with worked yesterday. We've had a circle punch around for years. Cuts a 2" circle. He cut a batch of circles from our inexpensive white vinyl which has a bit of a matte finish to it. Watch the perf print and...
We have both and because we primarily design in CorelDRAW it only makes sense to me to use PP for little things like remove the background, a little touch up here and there etc. That way I can stay in Corel, edit bitmap, and jump right back on the fly. Just as illustrator & photoshop. They both...
Yes, corel has layers as most other programs. I rarely have a use for any more than one layer. Couple of things to note, and you may know already. As you select a shape you will see which layer it is on by the info at the bottom left of the workspace
also note that you have a "Desktop" layer...
Yes, I've heard that using a custom profile that eliminates LtC & LtM works best if just printing red alone but...
And our Print Tech, who also happens to be our IT guy, refuses to try customizing a profile.
