sometimes between the age of the paint/vinyl and weathering there is just no way to remove the vinyl with out damage. i have done a lot of removals and you just have to let the customer know best and worst case scenario up front. then let them decide what they want to pay for. removal 50% of the...
probably better off subbing out the job the first time or two to make sure it will be a regular thing before you invest the money on a uv machine.
if you do end up buying a machine and this is the only thing you will be running on it i would check out this machine...
maybe a static issue, looks like it is spraying. also do another manual cleaning and look in at the print heads with a flash light sometimes you can get a hair or a piece of fuzz stuck in there that you can see or is stuck and doesn't come out with the swabs. that can cause this effect also
yeah what gino said. same thing happens on my xc-540 with the white ink. if i don't let the white dry long enough before putting the color over top it cracks
my experience with mylar is it just sucks to remove. what i have done is once the mylar is off just remove the glue with solvents (adhesive remover or goof off) i haven't found any easy way just a lot of elbow grease and paper towels. once the glue softens a little you can scrape it with a...

thanks for the info.
gino we used catzper for a while and it worked ok. we found that a lot of colors went outside our printer's gamut . it worked in most cases but we also had a lot of times we would find a color close and then re-enter that color so it could calculate even closer to where we...

(big shocker they are looking to get this done asap, don't know why everyone waits till the last minute)
first off i have not been to the site so i have not seen or touched or examined this yet. customer wanted to cover up the old lettering with new and i suggested using a decal it would be approx 7" x 60" didn't think that would be too much of a hassle. now they come back and want to cover the...
