I have done it like this guy does in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3R8h6u4EI0 only differance I use is that instead of filling in with tons of 3/4" tape I use 12 inch application tape and then cut it over the fine line tape. Just make sure you have all the edges down good.
I would imagine that it would give you credibility. The 3m class is not a just pay and get a piece of paper. They test you and make sure you know what you are doing. If I was looking for an employee to do installs I would hold value in it.
I agree, you can teach yourself to do it. However, the opportunity to have experienced installers work with you for a week and be right there to show you and answer questions is almost invaluable. And when you are out selling the service to corporate customers, unfortunatly they put a lot of...
I used to have a binder with prices. I would have samples of designs with super basic to money is no object. Keep it to 4 or 5 versions with price ranges. Within them ranges offer only 2-3 revisions. Make sure it is stated and that you have an hourly rate for every hour after. If you dont put a...
Here is my first thought. You take a photo of a sign with problems. Then you leave a note and they go to the website and see the sign and the estimate and click yes or no.
What keeps people from taking the post it note and going on and clicking yes if they are not the owner? Or saying they did...
I like where it is going. John, I see what you are trying, but when I look at it without a gap between the words it almost looks like ELDIE. I would like to see the original design with fine line in a light cream color without an outline.
I want to get the 3m one. It can't hurt. A lot of car dealers are offering graphics incentives to tradesmen when they buy new vehicles. I would think if you bring them a phamplet with examples of your work and certification it would help them direct customers your way.
My bad.. he doesn't sound like the guy for you. Invest in finding the right designer for your company. One person with the wrong attitude can bring down the whole shop. But you need to build a team environment. If people think their sole purpose is to do only one aspect of the companys business...
I don't agree... If you have a good designer, that might be what seperates you from the compition. I do agree that people need to cover multible rolls in the shop. That way if one person leaves or gets sick you can still continue business. But a good designer could be the most important roll...
Thanks everyone. I have to admit that I did put a pattern in the blue. I took the jack image and ghosted in a pattern for the background. You have to really look for it though. I don't like for the background to take away from the message.
