  1. Need Help test print alignment

The hex screws ( the ones on the left ) adjust the head from to left to right ( the skew ) . They do this by pushing against the brown plastic plate the head fixes to. The white plastic capped ones move the head backwards and forwards. To clean the head slider to make sure the white one is...
  2. Rolnad EJ-640 Head

I imagine after over a year the OP has sorted it :D
  3. Pricing

I agree with above. The big companies churning out cheap stickers rely on the artwork being print ready so they can just stick them on a machine without thinking about it at the lowest acceptable quality. That is fine for customers who have it all ready to go, but I rarely find that is the case...
  4. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

If the printer is set up properly it should cut perfectly. The whole point of getting a print and cut machine is doing it all in one job and not having to take out the print and cut in another machine
  5. Service Call 0330

Normally with 0330 it is a bad servo board not switching the solenoids. That would be the first thing to replace.
  6. Used Equipment

Put them on ebay as sold for parts / not working with collection only. There is always a market for printers with shot heads as other parts can be used to repair other ones, or someone may want it and replace the head themselves. Worst case you will get a few dollars for them and get someone to...
  7. Need Help Print problem Roland BN-20

Is the test print still looking the same? Run a couple of powerful cleans and see if it changes at all
  8. Need help for vp 540 boards .. no power

If the voltages are all checking out ok, then is most likely a bad board. If a main chip has gone faulty there isn't really any way to test for that
  9. Need help for vp 540 boards .. no power

Was it new or used? A lot of the new boards are chinese copies and don't work properly. It is also possible if its used that it has a fault
  10. Need Help Print problem Roland BN-20

Yes you need to install the OEM cap top. The pump seems to be working fine as it is cleaning the other colours fine. The yellow head is probably clogged from sitting now, so you need a cap top that is working correctly
  11. Need help for vp 540 boards .. no power

Did you say you had replaced the servo board? Where did you get the replacement from? It could be it is faulty
  12. i broke the drain line to the waste tank

OK, you will need to remove the cap top and take it out and see if the hose has just come detached from bottom of it. If it has, just push it back on and it should work fine.
  13. i broke the drain line to the waste tank

Which part of the waste line? There are lines from each cap top that go into the pump, then a single line that comes out of the pump into the bottle. If it is the one from the cap top you have probably just pulled the line loose from the bottom of the cap top
  14. Need help for vp 540 boards .. no power

OK if you are not getting an LED on the servo board then it sounds like a main power supply problem. The servo board LED should light up as soon as you plug the printer into the wall and the main switch is in the on position, the printer itself doesn't need to be powered up from the control...
  15. Need help for vp 540 boards .. no power

If there is no power at all to the printer, then it won't be the main board fuses as the printer will still power on fine without this. You need to test the main power supply and see if it is giving any voltage to the main board. Are you getting a green LED on the main board and servo board? If...
  16. Roland Versacamm SP-300

Agree with above. Do a test print in service mode so we can see how your nozzles are looking ( both the large and small ones ). It does look more like you have a block of black nozzles missing rather than it being ink starvation or an encoder issue..
  17. Roland SP300V - Cutting Force doesn't change

One thing you can check is that your new holder is the same size as the old one. If it is a tiny bit shorter then the blade may not extend quite as far. Some of the chinese blade holders do seem to vary a bit. If cutting at low pressures this doesn't matter too much as you can adjust out the...
  18. Roland SP300V - Cutting Force doesn't change

And unfortunately the individual parts aren't available to repair them, so your only real option is to look for a good used head. They do come up on ebay as Roland stopped making them years ago.
  19. Roland SP300V - Cutting Force doesn't change

It probably wouldn't unless it is very clogged up, it is more likely to be general wear to the various moving parts of the mechanism that added together stop it producing the proper force. The heads do tend to last a decent amount of time, but eventually they do wear out
  20. Roland SP300V - Cutting Force doesn't change

It could be wear on the cut carriage head. With age they can wear out and don't give the same pressure they used to. I would normally suggest changing the holder and strip etc.. but as you have already done that then the next place to look would be the carriage. On a fully working carriage you...
