I'm a tube bender. You don't need much to get started. Ribbon fire, hand torch, propane tank, mixers and blower (shop vac will work as blower) you can make anything with this set up. It's similar to learning a musical instrument. Practice all the basic bends everyday and you will get it. Doesn't...
On a sign like that we would some kind of nice cleat. Frame on the back of the foam, frame on the walI. stopped gluing HDU to another substrate a long time ago. When we use HDU today it's a robust shell around a frame. Have had failures in the past. Especially with gluing to MDO on a 2 sided...
Nice looking sign.
I'd be between $250 and $1'000 for something like this.Depends if I got a drop laying around, the vinyl for the face, are they a PIA etc.To many unknowns to list what it's worth.
This is an age old question and not one that can easily answered on a forum like this.Treating the...
Try contacting accubend. Nice people and decent machines. They might charge you for tech support on a used machine but it will be well worth it.Or you can do what Jburton suggested. Signtific experiments. Examine the properties of the files that do work.
Plotters,printers,routers,benders etc...
Solvent printing is brutal.Got the latest 300 something hp less than a year ago.Does what I tell to do as far as print quality. Love it for the obvious.I don't print much but still need a printer on board. To me the good outweighs the the bad here. And yes the hp can be a PIA to load. Need to...
You could pound a u channel in the ground Cut the sleeve to 4' slip it over the channel then fill the the pvc sleeve with spray foam.It will make the install go quick and save money.
The proper way to do a halo is to use a reverse channel with the led's mounted on clear on the back of letter pointing in.Mounting directly to the back of letter will work but when viewed from a slight angle you will see hotspots of light.
I am going through this right now. I don't really care what the law says about who's owns the sign. As far as I am concerned it's my sign until it's been paid for. Going to repro the the sign in the middle of the night. Reason for taking it down is because it got accidentally installed by...
That might have been me.Especially if driving all the way to Texas to install a huge sign face onto a pos sign cabinet that you couldn't slide in on a hanger bar.Looking at the pics that's how I would have done it. Probably not pop rivets but maybe that's all they had on truck
Here is what I do. If it's a sketch from another sign shop in my area that I have a good relationship with. I will reach out to them and ask them what they were asking for the job and then quote it higher to help them out. If somebody sends me a sketch of some helvetica channel letters and asks...
If you just got paid a million bucks to redo the the NIKE logo and you wanted make millions of that same design for something else..Yes that would be wrong and could get you into trouble. That's not the case here. It's 2 paddles in the shape of an x with a name in a capsule. Nothing to worry...
