Something else to consider is using the heater you have.
If you want to minimize the smell here are some tips:
Clean or replace the filters. There will be one for the intake and one for the fuel.
Clean the igniter.
Clean the flame sensor lens.
Instead of kero I run mine on ULSD right from the...
Widest readily available material you can get is 60", you'll be fine. I've had my 65" laminator for over a decade and it's never run anything wider than 54" material.
Buy from the dealer in your town or within an hour of your shop. Getting "the deal" from a place two states away is great until the printer breaks. Almost guaranteed it will break when you have a fleet job with a drop dead date on it.
To add to the confusion I bought a Mutoh. It's been a...
You charge what ya gotta charge. I'm sure you're just like me and have gotten used to eating three times and day, being clothed and having a roof over your head. If the client doesn't like it they can go to the other shop in town and run them into the ground.
Is it plugged directly into an outlet or an extension cord/cord reel. My D140 would randomly stop until I figured out I had a bad outlet on the cord reel.
Either way next time it stops wiggle the plug end and see what happens. If it fires right up you solved the mystery.
If the outlets or...
If you can't pull ink through I would say the cap tops aren't sealing.
Plate on top of the head could have a crack in the damper nipple too. Might be too fine to see but still admit air.
Depends on how well it has been maintained. How many hours on it etc... Curing modules aren't cheap and neither are heads. Will it need either one or both of those components?
You also need to figure in the cost of hiring a rigging company to move it.
I have limited experience and its been years so bear with me. I'm assuming he is vacuum forming so let's start there.
When clamped in the forming rig the heater should be about 2" from the surface.
If you are getting bubbles the heat may be too high/material too close. Can't remember the...
On the job or in the classroom I wear blue jean painters pants everyday. Get them at Fleet Farm when on sale. Comfy and able to stretch/bend while installing. Phone fits perfectly in the small pocket on the right.
This ^^^^^
Ribbon cables are a consumable. The wire in them is finer than hair and they can only take so many bend cycles. I replaced them on my Roland when I started having print issues. Problem solved. At some point I know I will have to do the same on my new printer.
Wife and I don't go to McDonalds, Wendys etc... About the closest we get is Culver's or the Chinese take out down the street. Fact is we rarely eat at any restaurant. Got tired of paying premium prices for a mediocre meal. Like Gino we realized years ago that homemade food is the best...
Unless the job specifies the material use something else. Products I normally use are taking longer to get. Except for ink, that showed up in less than a day. Go figure...
My per square foot price is based on the materials for the job plus other expenses, wages, heat, lights, depreciation etc... It also accounts for yield and Oh Crap issues. Design time/layout is billed separately. Saves so much time when estimating. You will drive yourself crazy and waste...
