  1. Shrinkage after Contour Cutting - Advice needed

I just saw the purple and I bet your putting too much ink down. The bulletin I posted talks about this as well 250% is the total ink limit or the vinyl gets over saturated. To illustrate what ink does to vinyl, grab an old ink cart and cut it open and drop a drop of ink on your IJ35 and see...
  2. Shrinkage after Contour Cutting - Advice needed

Only two real options. First make sure your prints cure at least over night before you laminate and cut them. This bulletin talks about it - multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/.../ij35-scotchcal-3-2-mil-film-pij-sp.pdf But, more than likely your going to have to by a better grade of laminate at...
  3. Shrinkage after Contour Cutting - Advice needed

You have to use cast vinyl if you don't want shrinkage. Expensive calendared vinyl shrink less than the cheap ones but they still shrink a lot compared to cast vinyl. Calendared vinyl starts it's life like a big ball of chewing gum and then rolled between rollers that get progressive thinner...

  8. Having a hard time finding these two fonts

I can't speak for others, but in my case it's the Find My Font program. I don't have encyclopedic knowledge of fonts, it does most of the work. Sometimes you have to tweak the image in the program or with image editing software to get a good result.
  9. Green tint in print

Unless you have thousands to spend on custom profiles just to make it better, learn to design away from large areas of grey in the future. There are so many variables, RIP, Ink, Linearization and profiles, material, laminate, and lighting conditions (sunny, cloudy, morning, evening, inside, and...

  11. Not what I thought

http://www.fonts.com/font/linotype/americana/bold I have so many fonts and can't remember where they all came from, but I think my Americana Std Bd came with Corel. The font displayed above was to show you where to find it. You need to make sure you have the right version and weight before...
  12. Not what I thought

American Std Bold is pretty close considering the size of the image you posted.
  13. cutting through paper liner - anyone does it a lot?

I would offer hand cut square or rectangle decals, or quote them http://stouse.com/Products/CustomDecals/CustomVinylDecals.html die cut price (Decals plus a die charge). If your not busy I could see trying to do this in house but I wouldn't do it for less than Stouse and would probably charge...

Use all caps and it is dead on.
  19. 3M Printable Vinyl 54" Recommendations

Moving trucks get beat up by tree branches driving through the neighborhoods. Without lamination the ink will get scratched off the top 2 feet in no time.
