  1. Flexi 8.6

Ya that sucks but unfortunately as a company they probably can't devote the resources on increasingly older out of date software. While it might seem trivial, that software is at least 10 years old. I thought that you could get the new Flexi cloud for $50 a month plus no dongle.
  2. 3M Scotchlite 580 Reflective Vinyl & Racing Stripes

If you going to be dealing with a hood scoop you might want to go with something like a removable reflective with conformability I would look at 3M 680CR or the 780CR. Both of these have air release so application is pretty easy and fast. I have not used the 780 yet but from what I understand...
  3. Looking for high quality mirror vinyl

You can look at an architectural film maybe? Something like Di-Noc or another supplier.
  4. How do you protect your money?

Use a roof torch/steam to melt the permafrost in the fall. Dig a hole with a mini excavator, throw the money it there and cover it up. Ground re-freezes in the winter. Hang a piece of meat over it, the bears will protect it. They'll never get it.
  5. Rant HP Latex Machine Service

So the curing unit doesn't heat up at all? Does it throw up any error codes? I know that the 360's use 220, could there be a power supply issue?
  6. Rant HP Latex Machine Service

What's the issue with your printers?
  7. Question auto wrap, door edges cut or wrap?

It all depends on what your doing. If your doing a color change that yes, wrap around the door. If your just doing a work vehicle we usually just cut flush with the door.
  8. Let's see your own company vehicle wraps and graphics!

So a heath care company, that also does it's own furniture, signs, and now wraps?

  11. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

Yes that's what I said.... "You would just need to save your files in a format that Flexi Production manager can read the safest bet would be .pdf. "
  12. Forget this place

$420 and hour, sounds like a steal to me.
  13. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

For you.... For me Flexi is really easy to use and with the the HP latex series they communicate together really well.
  14. how to roll premasked frosted vinyl

Like Deby said roll it with the premask on the outside. Also use a hi-tack premask this will also help out with the issues.
  15. Suggestions New Printer, HP vs Epson

So coming from a rear loading machine I also had issues with the front loading. I agree that it's a little more frustrating than it should be. I found that when done printing, extend the material out of the printer past the curing unit to cut the material. When doing so cut with a slight arc...
  16. Suggestions New Printer, HP vs Epson

What material is jamming up on you? Is it a carriage jam or a load jam?
  17. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

So to answer you first question, no Flexi is not the only rip that you can use. It's just a corporate synergy thing. You should be able to use any rip you want. If you did decide to go with Flexi you would not have to design in it. I often design in Composer, Illustrator, Photoshop and...
  18. Suggestions About make some purchases.

It all depends on what you're looking for and your budget. For me, if you want to print onto clear and use white, the Gerber/omega (composer) setup is great. The new caddy system is nice, but the whole system in actually pretty built proof. If you take the time and maintenance them, they last...
  19. 3M IJ-175 We're Lovin It!

From what I understand it has a less aggressive tack. So it's a little more on par with Avery. What was so nightmarish about it?
  20. Composer Vs. Illustrator

I think that we've had this conversation before.... I use Composer, Corel, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flexi, 3DS Max, and more. These are all just tools. Some tools are more specialized than others, it doesn't mean that one is better. This idea that one program or company is better than another...
