I have been running Flexi forever. I think the biggest issue is stemming from an obscene amount of nodes (I've crashed flexi with a proverbial shit ton of nodes)
The other major issue is with how Flexi handles gradient fills that are made in AI. It has to do with clipping masks and fill steps...
.040 is doable but your will probably need a bottle of whiskey and another bottle of zanax. I would use 3m panel bond adhesive or Lord Fusion panel adhesive. If you prep the metal right, the metal will tear before the joint will.
We bought one. We still have our old Stimpson press that is awesome and bulletproof. But the new automatic works good. It is weeping a little tool oil right now but we just make sure and wipe it off before we use it. How long it lasts is TBD, I would suspect a few years before something plastic...
We have had a glass top production table for years. It works great but dulls blades super fast. We bought a yellow tools clear mat for it a few years ago after we got cutting rulers. One or two cuts and the blade was trashed.
We bought a Roll-X table that we use mainly now but still use the...
We run bulk ink and Bordeaux liters in our Roland for the last 7 years. We have had to replace heads from time to time but the shot count on the heads was upward of 30 billion so the heads were shot out anyway. I have a Magenta head right now with 20 billion shots on it.
That is a mess!! Is it printing at all now?
I cant see how it didnt get ink into the electronics on the head, all the dampers have yellow ink on them. My guess would be new head, head cable, dampers, capping station, wipers. sponge, etc.
You stated only 4 lines working? is it an 8 color...
I have done tire covers in the past for jeeps. Probably same material. We cut stencil, used a heat gun to set it and air brushed the logos on them. I've also hand painted them with one shot. I never tried vinyl before but I would try the high tack materials made for low energy plastics.
