So something on our Production Manager installation corrupted and support's suggestion was to just reinstall it. So I did that and the issue did resolve itself but another one has surfaced. Now when I send multiple jobs to our L560 it always cools down between jobs as if I only sent one, then it...
With the new version of Flexi coming out I was going to try and look at the numbers of how much we have spent over the years in new versions and look at the cost of purchasing outright like we have vs "cough" going the subscription route "cough".
That isn't the actual topic for this thread...
I just can't get over the huge blue panel telling you the model you dumped a bunch of money on. I thought it was going to be a control panel when I first saw it.
Summa S140T OPOS plotter. 54" width with tangential cutting head and OPOS registration system. Had the opportunity to step up to a newer model and need to move this one out of the way.
Shipping or pick-up from southeast Kansas to be discussed.

If you have it then I would be happy to get it from you.
Really is no sense as to when it will happen. Just ran a job that was repeated 6 times, on the third or fourth one it popped up, but never again on this job.
Initially thought it might of been a problem with the upgrade from my earlier...
Since we "upgraded" to the latest version 12 release we are getting issues in PM. Seems to be with repeat jobs primarily but can not confirm. We get a pop up titled AmHPL3xx and states that "File with same name exists. Overwrite?" We have an HP latex printer so the title makes sense, but we have...
Interested to see if any of the improvements make a noticeable difference when using it, like the 64-bit upgrade. Saw the notice (on Facebook of all places) and already told the powers that be here to be expecting a purchase request sooner the later for some new software.
Had a first time glitch today though I can't specifically blame the firmware though it was updated last week. Went to print a job and the screen showed the target temp being like 70. Then it errors out something about temperature failing to ramp up. Reboot and it didn't happen again.

Same thoughts for me. Our two big service trucks don't even have mirrors mounted on the windshield, something about big crane/boom mounts blocking visibility.
My printer successfully downloaded the firmware sometime in the last week, just waiting for me to click the Install Now button. Any word on this update and what it does?
Think you will find a lot of places do upgrade to a separate computer sooner then later. We have been doing that with Flexi/Onyx for as long as I can remember.
Have had some communications issues as well as of late but I am blaming Flexi for it, re-ripping the file usually fixes the issue.
As to the firmware, whether I try it on the computer of the printer it almost immediately fails and errors out.
They are seeming to want to target if there is any loss of print quality. I assume they will claim that since the heads are so readily replaceable, and meant to be swapped out somewhat frequently when compared to other printers, that its a mute point if they are possibly getting damaged. To be...
That is a Summa in a nut shell. It is a rock solid built like a tank plotter, but, at least in our case, there wasn't on site setup and training so there were a lot of things I had to figure out on my own. We probably waived training on our second unit since we already had been running a Summa...
I'll second 2CT, on our second Summa in 20 years and wouldn't want any other cutter here. We print on Nikkalite 48000 and then laminate and contour cut without any issue. I do it slower then normal cast sign vinyl, but it works like a champ.
