too many different fonts.. a lot of things clashing. i personally find it hard to use a full picture for a background and have a good looking sign. the message can get lost in the fluff of effects and the full picture.

i use the oracal right now for everyday signage... it cost me about $225 per roll the 3M is adverised at $170. the oracal says a 5yr intermediate the 3M says 5yr also. i'm thinking about switching ... has anyone used both and has any suggestions or opinions on these?

because there is no way to make a decent profit with those prices (even printing truckloads daily) and then it devalues everything done in the sign business. so these lowball guys will eventually go broke and leave the whole sign industry worse off because they have lower the value beeing stupid.

flack black painted on a vehicle can be hard... some use just base with no clear ... but it is not real durable, HOK has a flat clearcoat system but it sounds fairly complicated. there is a new brand called hot rod flatz ( i think) that sounds easier to use.
