Build casework with Apex board then create a rabbet for a sheet of tempered glass. Doing so will allow you to accommodate the existing frame. Apex board is solid PVC that is strong and will hold up to abuse. It also works like wood. Will need to check municipal code regarding the glass.
Thank you for answering my question. I still have my original Summa D610. Cut so much it wore the rubber off the pinch wheels. That thing cut miles and miles of vinyl.
What kind of issues are you having? Reason I'm asking is if you don't like the one you have why would you buy another? As far as your D140, mine runs very well. The few wrecked cuts I've had have been my fault.(lazy loading procedure)
Should be able to print the PMS palette right from Flexi. The old versions could do it.

I don't mess with old panels. Can never be sure what will happen. Years back a good client said he wanted to save his panels. I said I'd take a look. Panels looked okay until he tried taking one off the truck. The corner along with a huge ragged piece fell off in his hand. I looked at him...
I hear that. Tired old bones/knees/back don't like digging holes, climbing ladders or crawling around. Spent 26 years on a concrete floor. I'm paying for it now.
For removals I tell client it's per hour plus materials. If they aren't comfortable with that I walk. Far too easy to underestimate the time some removals will take, even on glass. Did a job a while back to remove game store graphics from glass. Not sure what material they used but it was...
How many "miles" on the printheads? The 2513 in the lab had the heads replaced recently. Took about two years to wear them out. Not completely shot but noticable. It gets run everyday with student projects or projects for multiple campus locations etc...
Agree completely with Billct2. Powder coat on aluminum is ridiculously thin. If you try buffing be very careful. Truth is unless the client wants to repaint it's a lost cause. You'll end up chasing your tail trying to make it look halfway decent then burn through a spot. Now you're on the...
Don't pass on the job. Bid it right and do them. Boat yard is asking for your help which is the perfect opportunity to become their go to guy.
A few years ago I did a full graphic on an Alumacraft. After five years you can't get replacement graphics so I had to recreate a complete side.
Had...
Possible air leak at the damper or capping station. Could even be a bad damper. Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good to go. Learned that lesson a long time ago.
Profile mismatch will shift colors. If you're preserving input(embedded) profiles that will also cause issues. Basically you need to know what you're starting with then convert depending on the device(destination profile).
The Pizza Garden, long since closed, had a square pizza that measured 36" x 36". Very good pizza.
Port Sandy Bay used to serve the Sno-Coaster pizza. 36" diameter.
Like Gino said razor blade and elbow grease. Look into the razor scrapers window tint shops use. Nice wide blade and long handles. During the summer I will use steam to speed things up.
If you're not comfortable digging into your printer call a good tech. There are procedures to follow so you don't end up blowing a fuse or a board. As far as ribbon cables go you don't replace one. You replace them all since you have no way to tell which one is the issue. Trying to piecemeal...
