You need to re-calibrate everyday or right before you run this canvas if these are really color critical. And yes you need to set long run consistency in the Media Preset. Not sure what you mean by setting it in "ICC set"? Another thing to try is to turn on your Print Confidence Strip which is...
Walter, I know. You and I have talked about this before. If I remember last time this came up Harbor tells me that they have to order a certain amount first and you told me they did not. It not like they can't swing by Boardman and pick some up as they have actually delivered here and had rolls...
Ordered Phototex last week. Site lists 24-36 hours none in stock items. Tells me first delivery on Tuesday. Check yesterday said delivery today. Now just checked says delivery 1-29. Not the first time this has happened and put me in a bind. Will not order anything not shown in stock again. Can't...
Here we go again, calling a media preset a profile. It doesn't what settings you have in you media preset, 70# release liner is going to cause issues because of the heat, and will be a challenge to dial the heat down enough and still get correcting curing of the ink.
How thick are your release liners? Anything under 85# is going to be problematic. You can lower heat and up the passes or the interpass delay which might help.
For some reason all at once I started having this issue with new rolls of their 201OAP. I have made them replace the rolls a couple of time now but have decided I need to use something else as it seems to be a manufacturing defect. No problems with the other 201s just the OAP version.
But you still have to assign the correct source profile. The trick is to figure out which one, if the designer is NOT knowagable enough to assign one which I find an unbelievable amount don't/won't do, no matter how much you explain it to them and why.
I think if I was in your situation I would do a reverse process of elimination. I would download a cmyk test image like this. http://www.iso12647solution.com/Colorsource_free_CMYK_SRA3_test_forms.htm
Then create a new media preset from the top of the list. No cloning. Do not calibrate or...
One thing to try if it has not already been done is to create a new media preset. Choose new media from the top of the list and don't clone any existing media preset. Then calibrate new media preset and make a new output profile. There were firmware updates on the 360s that messed up all media...
It's not clear what you doing so if I may ask.
When you calibrate and then make a new output profile, are your grays acceptable at that point?
Then over time they drift? When they drift does re-calibration bring them to being acceptable? If not then you likely have a hardware problem maybe...
I don't think you understand the iPF Canon printers. You can create custom papers with various setting such ink density, vacuum, head heights, etc. I want to be able to use these custom paper settings with the Caldera RIP. However it appears Caldera does not have the ability to import these...
The problem I have with Caldera and the iPF8400 is that I have custom papers with specific settings setup on the 8400 that I can use with Caldera. With Fiery XF and Colorgate I can sync and use these settings. It is just a shame I can't use them with Caldera. I though maybe when a custom paper...
Another thread has got me thinking about this question and I though it belonged in it own thread.
First off for years I have been using Unix/Linux OS based computers for doing all the heavy work throwing lots of RAM at it because it uses all the RAM you give it. On the other hand when I have...
I have Fiery XF and a demo of Colorgate, but I would really like to get away from Windows OS. Over the years I have tested Caldera a few times and I really like it for the most part but I always seem to find short comings in it that keep me from using/buying it. This problem with the iPF8400 and...
Anybody running this combination. With other RIPs I can pull/sync the Custom Papers from the printer (iPF 8400) but this function does not seem to be implemented in Caldera. Am I missing something or has someone figured out a way to do this.
