We try to avoid overlap as much as possible but with a graphic that is oversized I normally do a 1/4" overlap is this common? SignGal

My Mutoh ValueJet is starting to have banding issues on solid colors. Is there a maintenance cleaning or calibration I should do? My nozzle check looks fine so I'm assuming the heads are still good. thanks vicki

This is exactly what I was thinking.... I just had a sales rep tell me that the IJ35c was a good material that a majority of companies are using as their primary material. IJ180 is a good material and always lasts but is pricey... hard to explain to the end client that is getting cheaper signs...

I've always used high performance vinyl films because our climate is so extreme with UV rays at high altitudes and extreme cold in the winter months. Just curious what materials you use for signs and/or vehicle graphics/wraps. Thanks, SignGal

Talked to the supplier we get our cartridges from and there were some black cartridges that had that were reading as cleaning cartridges. Put in a new black cartridge and everything works fine. What an easy fix! and everyone at the Mutoh tech line told me it was a motherboard issue. Sign Gal :)

Thanks, I talked to a tech at Mutoh today and he said I just needed to run it through a whole wash and it would work. So I ran the machine through a wash cycle and as soon as it was done it said "wash black" again. Still not letting me go through a cleaning either.

Having a plan for consultations is key. Do you have a business plan in place? At my shop, every Thursday we do deliveries, installs and consultations. This way I have enough paying jobs to cover gas and can schedule the consultations.
