I did not read every response to this thread but I don't feel in any way that I "own" any of the art I trace. Designing is a different story but tracing no. If I trace a well known logo I don't suddenly own it. If I trace someone's sketch and improve or embellish it in any way, I don't own it...

Yeah I have probably traced a dozen fire truck lettering jobs. They all have that similar style of lettering

I don't know if that is a font or you created it... but that M does not look right with the rest of the lettering. It needs to be wider. It seems off

Other than the speed nothing about AI CS6 excites me and I am a dedicated AI user. Once used that may change a bit but will probably only feel compelled to upgrade to be able to open files sent my way and remain current. Plus want to avoid the sticker shock of skipping too many upgrades and...

The issue is the black/white box and missing text on one and the changed font that is also outlined. So many differences.

I am about to refuse word files or insist on screen captures or pdfs Been through this before. See attached screen captures of word doc opened up in word and OpenOffice Hmmmm, which one is correct?
