Easy
We have a generic one on our site if you are willing to trim it down to fit your printer

Pm me your email address and I will send you the tech manual so you can see what is involved.
Pump up
The back yard mechanic way is to disconnect the lines from the cap tops to the pump. You then can let it do its pumping without burning ink or cleaning fluids
Jv33
It is still a good value. It uses the DX5 print head which is a very durable head. It has on board cleaning carts which no one else has. Easy to change cap top and a good RIP. Only thing I would change is the pumps, but they are easy to change and don't cost much.
Eco inks
I sell printers, Mimaki, Mutoh, Roland
Of those three the Mimaki SS21 inks are more scratch resistant. As for UV durability each manufacturer will offer you that info.
Cables
Take a close look at the contacts on the cables. They are only rated to be removed a few times before they fail. Get new cables before you fry your main board
Take up system
The heavy duty take up requires extra training from Mutoh before they will allow the dealer to install. What is very important is that the take up roll is parallel to the feed rollers. PM me and I will explain how to check it
Self cleaning
That is Roland's way to thank you for not buying their ink. You need to get some better chips to make the printer think you have Roland inks.
Chips
Never tried it but the SS2 are for the JV3 and I doubt the JV33 will read the chips, maybe he was thinking SS21. I'll see what the tech manual says.
