  1. Best core for HDU hanging sign?

Have some family out that direction. Nine Mile has some great food!
  2. Best core for HDU hanging sign?

I would say to go to Nine Mile and get an order of Soon Come and a Red Stripe and worry about the sign another day. Welcome to the site.
  3. Wall Sign...

You didn't think it was going to last, did you?? There was some Miley Cyrus tape there too. I can grab that for you if you want.
  4. Wall Sign...

It had "Justin Bieber" and "Bieber Fever" printed on it. Got it from Big Lots.
  5. Wall Sign...

...plus we used a ton of duct tape. :)
  6. Wall Sign...

No, the interior space is a residence. Through-bolting wasn't an option.
  7. Wall Sign...

Thanks for all of the compliments. All credit goes toward the guys I was helping. Yep, internally illuminated, rout-out show-through copy. No other pics though, sorry. Other than the people, the only nerve-racking thing was anchoring to the brick. There were four mounting plates with four...

  9. Vinyl Removal: Heat Gun vs. Steamer

Nice...when did Google Mas start doing interior views?? Anyway, these are the panels:
  10. Vinyl Removal: Heat Gun vs. Steamer

It's indoors at a Mercedes-Benz dealership. I'm going to stick with something a little more subdued. :) The vinyl is on existing faces that are being reused. So if it doesn't just peel up easily, it's between the heat gun and steamer. I'm hopeful the steamer would be the better choice. I don't...
  11. Wall Sign...

This wasn't my job, I just assisted a couple of friends on the install. It was a pretty enjoyable install and turned out pretty nice. Although I have to say - I have NEVER seen so many oblivious/indifferent people in my life. We had an aerial lift and at one point a crane truck and had the...
  12. Vinyl Removal: Heat Gun vs. Steamer

I've never used a steamer for vinyl removal. I have a sizable job coming up and would like to hear the opinions of those who have used both as far as which is more effective. This particular job is fortunately indoors, so the vinyl may actually come off fairly easily. But if not, I may try the...
  13. Wet Application - Getting Bubbles!!!!!

Unless you're applying frosted/dusted/crystal, I think it's easier to apply dry.
  14. Blind fasteners for foam board...

Yeah, a french cleat would definitely work. My primary focus is on installations - I don't do manufacturing or production. So I would have to chase down the materials and perform the labor. It will just be easier to go to home Depot and buy the hangers and be done with it. Plus it will keep the...
  15. Blind fasteners for foam board...

Thank you for the responses. A little bit slammed today and forgot to include the important bit of information that they want to be able to rearrange these. So whatever mounting method is used - it needs to enable the panels to be removable. ...after some research and considering the given...
  16. Blind fasteners for foam board...

I'm needing fasteners for 1'' foam board (4'x8'). These panels are being installed flush on an interior wall. The wall paper is textured and is somewhat 'plastic' feeling to the touch. Normally I would use silicone and VHB tape but silicone is not an option (customer spec) and I'm not...
  17. What kind of material would work best here???

4'x10' sheet of .063" aluminum. Cut your shape out of one portion, use the remainder for your 2" returns. Form and weld the 2" returns to the panel. Apply digitally printed vinyl graphic to the face. Clip-mount the finished piece to the wall.
  18. What kind of material would work best here???

I'm more curious who it was that plagiarized the design...
  19. Installation help

If you had a way to through-bolt it, it would be strong enough. Without seeing what the existing supports are (steel tube, I-beam, etc.) it's hard to advise how to attach it. Do you have any photos of the sign?
