  1. Wrapping behind rear bumpers (problem area)

1st Pull the bumper off. Work slow and if not using oracal then coat the area with primer94. Use as little heat as possible and dont over stretch the material.
  2. Nissan NV Tall Van tips?

Plenty of Primer94. Try and get the material worked down into the recesses without stretching to much, then heat and work into the channels (aka don't bridge if you don't have to). I hate cutting into recesses, if you cut to hard you cut into the paint. Post heat set and you should be good to go.

I have wrapped a few. Just go over it. The things we remove are door handles, tail lights, rear door magnets, and the corresponding metal plate on the quarters.

  7. Boo... Grimco won't be carrying Oracal

Our Fellers rep is great. Always calls us back within an hour if he doesnt answer his phone. He has beat everyone around us on price since we switched. We were using GSG but after we had a rough experience getting a GX640 45 days after we bought it, I said no more. We use Oracal for just about...

At our place we also do bodywork and insurance jobs. 12. Not always good to be the King.

I have an idiot that needs to go. He is heading back to school soon but not soon enough. Hard to be an a-hole when I have known him since he was in diapers. I thought he quit the other day and just as I was about to have a "thank GOD he quit party" he called. Ohhh no he was just sick and his...
  13. Need help for design

Looks to me like a round piece of scotch brite spun into a silver base coat. Are all the circles exactly the same? If so then maybe it is printed. Build the pattern in PS and blur it, turn the fill opacity down and layer it up.
  14. Edge 2 "Problem"

look at your settings on the job. when its set to 300 X 600dpi it will usually pause. when set to 300 X 300 it will not. IMO it is a memory issue AKA there is not enough internal memory to handle the packet size at higher resolution.

  19. learning curve - what am i doing wrong?

From one old painter to another. Your spot on. I could probably mask, scuff, paint, and reassemble in half the time I could make a template, cut, weed, and install. But these are new times and new ways to do things. We are lucky we can do both. Most customers choose vinyl for one reason or...
  20. Tired of Being told how much $$ you should make?

I am the highest shop in town. When people start haggling me over price I start raising the price. on a side note: We were mainly in the motorcycle building and parts supply business up till about 10 years ago, but I couldn't compete with the (new at the time) internet stores. They ruined the...
