  1. Motorhome commercial grade wrap pricing

Is that actually a full wrap? It would make more sense to part wrap the bottom and use decals for the rest on an all white motorhome. If the customer is considering buying a new motorhome, suggest they buy one in white, and it will make the job a lot cheaper and easier.
  2. Feed Motor error 0008

Ah probably the servo board then as they are prone to failing. If looking for a replacement, beware the fake chinese ones out there a lot of places sell ( like digiprint )
  3. roland rf-640. replaced printhead, capping station, ribbon cables and dampers. now theres a clicking!

Check the main print cable, the long one that goes from the print carriage board along the top of the printer. Sometimes if these are disturbed they can stick up a bit and the plastic guide can click against the inside of the printer Also turn the printer off with the head free and very slowly...
  4. Feed Motor error 0008

I would guess at a failing or failed feed motor. I don't think the ethernet cord had anything to do with it as once the job is sent to the printer then it doesn't make any further communication, the feed motor signals are sent from the main board in the printer

  6. Grainy prints engineer visited

Hi yes, set it to 2x. It lays down 3 layers of ink, so makes a very solid colour with no graininess. It makes it look like it has been screen printed rather than inkjet printed. It does use more ink, but gives a much better finished result. Even when you look close up you can't see any dots from...
  7. Grainy prints engineer visited

I never get grainy prints on my Roland printer. I don't think my customers would accept print of that quality to be honest. It does make a difference what you are printing. Printing a photo image you an get away with graininess to a degree, if you are printing a logo you want solid colours. The...
  8. What might be causing this problem?

I imagine after over a year he has probably sorted it out...
  9. 1324x not give a warning anymore that the cartridge is empty.

OK if they don't have an empty indicator on them then changing the firmware won't make any difference. The printer can't tell when the cart is empty. When you put a new cart in, the printer states this as being full. It then guesses how much ink is left based on what has been printed, but this...
  10. 1324x not give a warning anymore that the cartridge is empty.

Have the black cartridges actually got an empty indicator on them? Some of them don't. It should have a plastic tab that come out of the side when the cart is empty, this presses against the switch and tells the printer the ink is empty.
  11. 1324x not give a warning anymore that the cartridge is empty.

Does it do it on all cartridges? Normally it is the empty sensor switch that has failed which does happen with age. The cartridge docks are very similar to those used on Roland printers as they use the same design cartridges and the switches look the same, so you should be able to swap the...
  12. No yellow. Very strange

It might be time to get a technician in as you can end up chasing faults like these forever
  13. No yellow. Very strange

How did you check them? you need to check for continuity with a multimeter. You can also try swapping the cable from one head to another and see if the fault follows the cable. The yellow you can see spitting would be what is in the head from the cleaning cycle, so doesn't mean the head is...
  14. No yellow. Very strange

Check the cable to the head, a fault in this can stop a single colour printing. It could also be the head is blown on that one channel as this will give the same result.. If you are getting ink to the head, and its not printing then it is an electrical fault somewhere between the head and the...
  15. Sp300v - cyan will only print in High Speed mode

It sounds like time for a new head then
  16. Wanted Mutoh VC2-1800 Carriage Belt needed

Have you looked at Roland belts ? IIRC they are 15mm wide but would probably fit
  17. Roland SG540 shadowing and banding.

From the pic you posted it doesn't look like an alignment issue, the head is being told to fire at the wrong time. You can try printing in uni directional instead of bi-direction and also print in higher quality to see if this helps. If it prints ok in uni direction then the head itself is ok...
  18. banding on roland rf-640

If you get the service manual it takes you through it step by step in there, and also the calibrations you will need to do afterwards
  19. HP T series printer for car stickers

Stop looking at HP printers and look at Roland instead. You can get some great deals on used ones, and they are built like tanks. Pretty much everyone I know who prints vehicle graphics uses a Roland solvent print and cut machine
  20. Sp300v - cyan will only print in High Speed mode

before doing any more soaking and cleaning which can damage a head, do the test print IN SERVICE MODE to see what is happening with the nozzles
