    The envision will run on a USB port with the Gerber USB- Serial cable. It should also run on all newer software.

    You want to help or wait for power to discharge in the capacitors- that store energy after it has been unplugged. You do not want to work on the machine if there is still residual power in the system. The Pxxx conectors will be like P515, P128, for example.

    Ive had the same problems before. I decided just to set pressure and speed at the cutter. The software mas not sending proper parameters. I think I also turned off the settiings option on flexi.

    What Joe House said. Also - I wipe the vinyl about to be printed on with a dry microfiber towel. And 220 or 3M vinyl prints SO much better than 651. - smoother, no little pockets - just a better cast vinyl. Also - that pattern of imperfection looks like it may have been adhesive from tape...

There is an article on the site that says that they take the logo / turn into 3D model, machine molds and use injected silicone.     If you want a PRINTER / Cutter you are in the 15K range. Just a Cutter - in the 1-2K range for a professional small machine.

    maybe check with a local machine shop, and see if they offer Milling services- I think a lathe with a sharp blade can do it. they may be able to put a crown on it too... Also -you can swap them -Upper to bottom and bottom to upper if the lower is in better chape.

    What fred said, and I would also clean the printhead with alcohol pad from gerber- take a flashlight and look closely at the head firing area- I have had stubborn pieces of foil stuck to it.

    Jeremiah, how many hours per day (or week) is your friend using the cutter, and how much tech skill doe he / she have to play with and adjust a cutter? This will probably drive recommendations. I wouldn't go below a graphtec if they want the optical sensor for contour cutting.
