Yep - Keyspan - I speak from experience with that cutter. USB connection is poor on that machine.

Gerber Omega has a small text function that may assist also

I have the same version on windows 7. I don't see those pop ups, but I do run mine in XP mode, not windows 7 Not sure if that will make a difference for you

I agree with Joe House, also unplugged, pull the side cover off with the cables, and check that the Print Head Cable is seated properly. Also check your head cable connections at the head- you have to take the dancer bar off and foil squeegee to do this. Pull the upper shell cover off, and check...

It would help if you tell us the software you are using, and are you using the grey factory cable? it has three or four pins I believe for the back of the plotter.
