    yes that is what I would try - turn off the sensor and monititor it while running.

    which model edge? In the setup menu, you may be able to turn off the foil sensor. but beware if there is a problem in the future with a foil the machine may unravel it.

    Yes- you need to load the gerber foil pallets as a choice Not sure if flexi has a source for them. But gspinc.com may have them since you don't have omega For what it's worth- it's easier to run the edge 2 from omega
