Hey y'all. Been a couple of years, I know. I've been dragged back out of hiding via the poor economy. Yes, you heard me...and the old timers will know what I mean. Business booms in our craft when times are bad just before the "Holidays". Naturally. Because when it's "good" nobody cares...
I too find myself in the whole new "bought a new iMac" mode and need to know if Flexi 8.5 has been confirmed to work well. AND........this is the kicker.........does it read OLD VE-LXi Master files? Thanks very much. ~Gear
Hey Kiddo,
Thanks for inquiring of my whereabouts. Yeah, I've been mostly silent in the sign industry end of things of my life in the last year or so. Been a bit 'under the weather' with some health issues....relating to some cardio stuff (heart attack survivor of 5 years ago), and now the...
Yes it is JKKT....and to me....more interestingly are the over-reaction statements to fonts people wouldn't use in no way whatsoever. I've found that in nearly 40 years of sign lettering and logo design that ANY typeface can be used for spectacularly pleasing header or arrangements. It's as...
Well.....all I gotta say is I'm sure this isn't the first time a man has been frustrated when he couldn't find his dongle.
 ......lil humor there.

I'm a Mac user as well. I don't have your equipment/sofware configs. I don't believe any of the very few Mac users here have the setup you are going for either. You'd be best off calling Roland. However, I'm wondering if their Roland "CutStudio" would work on your...
JetMech,
Mike wanted the book to always be printed in the most generic form possible to save on ink and paper. In fact, the pages are 100% recycled....or at least they originally were.
And as far as your comment on "ideas will never be dated" is exactly right. In fact, our...
No way. Maybe in 15 years there'll be about 40% digital electronic displays. Printing is here to stay for a long time my friend. Let's not get too "iBot" on us just yet.
Go to Outlines. Set your outline then choose Separate Outline. Pull your top red copy off of the black. Then just click on Uncompound and go through the black and eliminate the nodes. It doesn't take much time. Took me like 30 seconds to do through it for this:
I love the sound of viruses......as they fly right by my OS. hehe....
Hey Rep, buddy, I for one really appreciate your intention here. Sorry you don't get the same "vibe" from some of your PC buds.
Yeah, but you know what brother? ....this is going to make the point I've said all along. "The DESIGN is what matters in sign making." Talent and experience ALWAYS sanctifies the winner!

ps.....Doug......Good point with the digi print on MDO! :thumb:
It's Easy
I know, I know!!!.........I work out of my garage. I can do it for that price!!
(as you know bro...I DO indeed work out of my garage nowadays...but, I WOULDN'T do it for that. hehe....)

Fred,
Marlene and Rob bring up a good point. What if the one that everybody is voting for wins and then it's shown that the job can't be done for $995.00?
~G.
Wow, good stuff guys! I do hope the one I voted for wins. It, to me, stands out as THE most with "era" and "substance" .... like a sore thumb....only in the GOOD way. :thumb:
