  1. Sheet Cut not working

Sounds like the mechanism that drops the actual blade down isn't functioning... in your menu also make sure the "media clamp" it set to short(not long) and that you actually have the short clamps installed. If you have the long clamps installed it won't allow cutting...and will screw the...
  2. sp300V not connected

Turbo -- in Versaworks goto Preferences > Roland @NET tab and chnage settings to "check for updates every launch" (so it forces it this time), and then select "for this printer and ink type only" then close VW and reopen it. It'll download em all again from roland.
  3. sp300V not connected

i THINK if you install versaworks first, it includes the driver.
  4. sp300V not connected

    holy....moly.
  5. sp300V not connected

What kind of connection do you guys have? Ours updated to 4.7.1 last night in 15 minutes.
  6. sp300V not connected

Because if you were so busy that you didn't have time to reinstall versaworks, you'd more than likely be running a 54" or bigger printer. Take the time to reinstall versaworks and get the printer working properly....instead of 3 hours to diagnose, eventually having to reinstall anyways.
  7. Roland versacamm vp-540 test print gone bad

Whatever it is, fix your feed calibration while you're at it!
  8. Drivers for an SP-300

Well by newest versaworks I meant 4.0 or newer...no 3 series VW.
  9. Started noticing some lines on prints

Yikes...those heads are in bad condition. How did you not notice it any sooner?? I notice when we've got just one or two lines deflecting.
  10. sp300V not connected

Did U turn the main power switch off on the printer/unplug power...restart computer? Fire everything back up?? Ours shows not connected from time to time and we have to restart the computer and power down the printer. If it is missing the USB drivers, uninstall versaworks and reinstall it...
  11. Schein Fluorescent Vinyl

You get what you pay for! Who cares what it costs as long as the customer is paying for it?
  12. Best chrome vinyl

we use 351...we've used Avery too..It all sucks to work with...although since we use oracal we stick with that. It's durability sucks, it sucks to weed, etc...lol
  13. Oracal 651 problems

I am hoping Oracal gets rid of the perf holes on each side of 15" Rolls....The only thing they're good for is lining up the application tape straight. Does anyone even have a plotter that uses perf holes anymore? 1982 called...they're missing their plotter.
  14. Screw you 3M.

I think we shall now call it BILLsh*tting. It's become a coined 3M term. Edit: you guys DO realize they have ALL these wrap sites right? http://originalwraps.com/programs.php
  15. Screw you 3M.

At the end of the day, 3M is just another company like yours and mine..and the bottom line is, you (and I) can't do anything about it. They can run it how they want...and if you (or I) don't like it, we can choose to move to a company who SUPPORTS it's customers, rather than bankrupts them...
  16. Why is Clear application tape so hated?

You can't apply anything wet. It's staticy as hell when trying to apply it to a sheet of weeded stickers, and if you get climate shifts either hot OR cold, the clear plastic shrinks so bad, it pulls the stickers right off the liner...leave a sticker in your car for a day and see how it does. If...
  17. Screw you 3M.

I found an older email from our OW Rep (who was SUPER friendly and helpful..no complaints there - he was actually very good to work with. The OW experience was good from the customer side of things!) that I came across, but I won't post it...One of you freaks might end up going postal. I gotta...
  18. Drivers for an SP-300

Our sp300v runs fine with windows 7 on newest versaworks.
  19. Screw you 3M.

...I should have also mentioned the ONLY reason we used OW on that vehicle for the wrap was because it was a brand new vehicle that had ~$1500 amount towards credit on a wrap when you bought it through this OEM. Otherwise, I would have suggested to the boss that we somewhere else -- like me...
  20. Screw you 3M.

Ill chime in one more time on this. I work for myself as a sign shop (not wraps) and a graphic designer at another company -- who had a wrap done by OW earlier this year. I spent a lot of time on the phone with our OW sales guy/rep who DID tell me (as a customer needing a wrap, not a sign shop)...
