I'm the production manager at our company and I can do stuff much much faster focusing only on design and production, I can print everything together, laminate everything together, can't imagine people standing in queue doing a little bit of this and that wasting print material/ lam material
Use non air release cast cut vinyl, I believe print vinyl comes only with air channels which is harder to weed. You can buy cut vinyl by the metre (or foot) to test it, never had any issue printing itexcept finger prints :)
I'm not talking about the oversized artboard stuff, but things like artboard numbering goes from being 22,23,24,25 to 22,24,24,25 and thing like that. I call it amateurish without quote marks :)
Affinitry tried to rebuild everything from scratch and to be honest it works pretty fast on multi core CPUs but it took adobe 37?? years to get to this point, and let's be honest there are still some amateurish bugs in it which blows my mind
1. You need to convert your rasters to K only, you can do that in Photoshop if you create a grayscale document (not RGB or CMYK) and save it as TIFF
2. in rasterlink you need to go quality->color matching (add a new one) and use perceptual and select K only
If you want to print coloured stuff...
Wow very impressive, check your Task Manager before you buy the memory though, my illustrator won't use more than 12-14 GB no matter how big the file is. It's a single core app so the bottleneck is rearly the memory
Wow that "integrated GPU is bad" thing was like 700 years ago, time to update your PC game XD, Intels CPUs with integrated GPUs are much faster than most mid range GPUs
So you think newer Illustrator versions are faster? I just wrote a script for sanity check :roflmao:
My average score is 1010 millisec with version 2022 and 810 on 2021 (not sure build number)
I wrote a benchmark script for Illustrator that can be used to compare performances on different computers, (open illustrator and drag and drop an an artboard)
the white ones would be duplicates as there is no 105% to continue the cycle if that makes sense, so all the combinations are actually there with duplicates removed
So, my second illustrator script I wrote is a color swatch generator, freeeeee for y'all

dotdist needs to be modified to set the distance from edge - it's metric but you can use google to translate it into mm, just like the "target" which sets when the middle dot is inserted
