  1. how long do you guarantee your wraps????

Learn how to install correctly and use good materials. IF you do both of these you won't see problems. If you do not do both of these you will see problems. Sure, you may get lucky from time to time, but the majority of your jobs will fail. We warranty workmanship for three years...
  2. what kind of car wash is recommended for a wrap?

Adam: I disagree with your disagreement.. lol Brushes and those chamois-like flappers are as close to hand wash as you can get with a machine. The high pressure sprayers are where the problem comes in. That's what has the potential to get under seams and cause issues. Customers need to...
  3. Paid breaks and other employee benefits

We actually use a PEO company (single best thing we've done since we started the company). I'll be talking to them about this to make sure we're in compliance. On a side note, I STRONGLY suggest that each and every business owner should be using a payroll company. Another example <from...
  4. Zund Conveyor Belt Cut Into

    Absolutely.. but everyone makes mistakes.
  5. what kind of car wash is recommended for a wrap?

Hand wash. Stay AWAY from "no touch" washes especially. If you have to use an auto wash, the ones with brushes are less evil. Also keep a coat of good teflon based wax on it.
  6. Mesh banner

    We can do. PM sent.
  7. Thank you Dan Antonelli

Rick and the others are right. Also, there is often a bit of a difference between designing a sign, logo, wrap, or what have you, and branding.
  8. Paid breaks and other employee benefits

Thanks for the heads up on the FLSA. I'll be doing some more research. We've been all over your area lately.. We've got a client that's got a few locations in your area that's been keeping us pretty busy.
  9. Advanced skill value...

    <chanting> Phoenix.. Phoenix.. Phoenix..
  10. Anyone wanna let me check out their shop?

Yes, I believe we'll be doing an SBA loan. May go conventional, but haven't decided if we want to commit that much cash to the down payment.
  11. Anyone wanna let me check out their shop?

Thanks Rick. Industrial space (and any other kind of RE for that matter) are abundant. We're looking at a piece of land with a purpose built shop. We could pick up a piece of distressed building for a little less money, but location and visual impression are extremely important to us...
  12. Anyone wanna let me check out their shop?

We're in the process of spec'ing a new building, and I'd be very interested in seeing how some of you other guys do stuff. How the shop's laid out, where the equipment is, etc.. Specifically, I'd like to see soft-signage/PSP's that are running at least $4-5MM a year. I know how we do things...
  13. Coroplast; Cutting irregular shapes

Sounds good. Thanks for the props Randy!
  14. Coroplast; Cutting irregular shapes

We can print/cut these for you no problem. Give me a shout with the specs.
  15. Employee handbook

And you're the only 3M Certified shop in Lauderdale? I'm sure Ryan & Wade would take issue with that...
  16. Here we go again.. The true test for the LX850 year 2 .

Our FB950 runs more consistently and dependably than our 800. Don't get me wrong, I am still happy with the 800 overall (I don't see any other 10' machines out there with the print quality of the 800's), but it's definitely a quirky machine. We get errors daily on ours for little stupid...
  17. Paid breaks and other employee benefits

We don't have a "set" break schedule, but we have a few smokers who take their fair share. They also bust their asses, so it's all good. We have a solid team and nobody abuses.. About 70% of our people are salary. No paid lunch for hourly people. But everyone gets: One week paid off a...
  18. Let me have it both barrels please

Funny how the Times New Roman in this last one looks normal.. not squished. You must've stretched this one, right?
  19. Let me have it both barrels please

The "kitchen & bath" part looks like someone stepped on it.
  20. Buying out a competitor?

I think Prowraps was talking more about the client list. Materials & equipment are a commodity. Price them and buy them. The client list, however, didn't work for the last shop... Probably not worth much. 1) The last shop wasn't making enough for the owner to want to stay in biz. 2)...
