  1. Pawn Stars and Kerning?

It's the little things that we notice when you have been in the business too long. We were at the doctors office Monday, and behind his desk was a picture that was hung crooked. It was all I could do to not interrupt him and go fix it.

What is going to happen is that they come back in, and ask you to now print the banner, with the material you already sold them.

It's Steve Jobs way of keeping tabs on you.
  6. File is damaged and cannot open?

This reminds me of a feature missing from Flexi that was in CAS-Mate. The current Flexi auto-save overwrites the existing file, in CAS-Mate it auto-saved the file as .bak, with as many revisions as you wanted.
  7. Thoughts on this

You could make it a combination wrench, the outline feels heavy too, but like it overall.
  8. Getting an in house laminator on a budget...opinions needed.

We purchased a Columbia through Pacific Coast Sign Supply. http://www.pacificcoastsignsupply.com/catalog/Laminating_Equipment.htm It has worked great for us and is such a time saver when doing multiple 4'x8' signs, but that would be true of any laminator. The support guy was really helpful as...
  9. ZJX Laminator

There was some mention of it before, just wondered if anyone has the ZJX laminator from PCSS? Just liking to get a hands on opinion of it. There are versions sold by other companies as well, so any experience with them is appreciated as well...
  10. font id, thanks

I haven't been able to id this one yet, and ideas.
  11. The "Wrap Daddy" Computer

My problem with that computer is that last I knew, Photoshop isn't fully multi-core ready, and neither is the majority of the software a wrap designer would be using. So IMHO its overkill. You would be better off spending all of that money on at least two computers and still have a killer design...
  12. CNC in the Madison, WI area

Didn't know if there was a shop with a router in the Madison, WI area that could do a small job routering two sheets of expanded PVC for us. Email me and let me know. Thanks. Matthew matthewd@jayhawksigns.com

I was told today that Scanvec is going to a dongle-less system. Anyone else heard anything on that?
  18. Performance Increase - Best Bang for the Buck?

In an Explorer window go to Tools and select Folder Options. Under the View tab, select "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" Then you can see the boot.ini in the c:\ folder. Be sure to set those properties back to normal after you are finished...
  19. Performance Increase - Best Bang for the Buck?

3-3.5GB is all 32-bit version of windows will ever see. And I don't have an explanation for why Photoshop sees what it does, mine is that way, an answer to that would be nice. Although its too late now, I don't think you could of used PC3200 ram in this computer, that is the old DDR speed, your...
  20. I'm clueless

First thing I see, you have 2GB of RAM, and 1.9GB of it is being used by something. I can't tell you what is using it though. For me, I close Photoshop every so often during the day, it clears the memory and things generally run better afterwards.
