  1. JV33 vs CJV30

There is only one situation I would look at an all in one, and that is if I was doing a mobile setup where space was key. I like separates, and the time you spend loading the vinyl into your other plotter also sees your printer part way into is next job.
  2. Epson GS600 vs. other printers

We have a eight year old JV3, and it was a great printer. Do wish that the HP had the width of its solvent brothers, but we rarely need the extra width.
  3. HP L25500 printer head bad, REALLY?

That's more volume of ink then my supplier told me to use when figuring ink costs, so your costs would already be lower then what I figured as worse case going in. Its troubling to me that people spend as much as they do on equipment without knowing what to expect with it.
  4. Bowing/ Smiling In Print l25500

I had this issue when we were doing some test prints on the 30" HP vinyl that came with the printer when it was set up. The temps were lowered from what the rip settings were in Flexi, and I was feeding the material back so that there was at most 1" out in front of the rollers. Tried different...
  5. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Nice to know that you didn't do something wrong isn't it.
  6. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Did you get this sorted out today? Not sure how far behind us you are down under?
  7. dual monitos

I don't think I could go back to a single monitor. What sucked was when I tried to have two 19" crt monitors on my desk, makes you love lcds that much more. Trying to get dual monitors setup on every computer in our office, think it helps productivity a lot.
  8. Business Cards Wholesale

Check gotprint.net as well. The have a reseller program and ship from several locations nation wide.
  9. Attention HP l25500 owners!

It sounds like something wasn't setup completely. Did you enable the take-up reel in the menu system on the printer? That obviously should work, but we were told to just leave that off. For the take-up reel it shoots a beam from the front right of the printer across to a module on the cross...
  10. Attention HP l25500 owners!

The media will almost touch the floor before it takes any up, it isn't a tension like setup on a JV3, it just takes up slack.
  11. need some panels printed

There is a perf that it sold with an adhesive roll for what you are wanting to do. I think our Midwest rep showed it to us earlier this year. White face with a black back, Panofilm.
  12. Attention HP l25500 owners!

When we were testing our contour cutting problem we were taking the prints directly out of the printers and into the cutters. The test prints off of the JV3 curled within minutes of being cut, the test cuts off of the HP prints didn't, and still have not lifted.
  13. HPL25500 contoured jobs off

Ended up being one of two things. Either the HP vinyl that was included with the printer or not enough of a leading edge. With the HP vinyl I had been starting printing a little over an inch into the vinyl. When I loaded some 3M 35C-10 I went ahead and rolled out a little more and the problem...
  14. HPL25500 contoured jobs off

    Yes, its at 4.0.0.4
  15. HPL25500 contoured jobs off

Got the printer setup yesterday and the banners printed great. Tried some contour jobs on the included HP 42" media and they are off. All of this is using Flexi 10 and a Summa S140T. I printed the exact file on our JV3 and it cut perfectly. Printed the file on the JV3 and used the HP cut file...
  16. Install and bad inks

Working great. Just demoing the different settings to see what will work for me. Ran several vinyl and banner jobs already. She will be back in the morning to go over maintenance and such.
  17. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Question for everyone. Are you running Hi or Lo on the ink? Doing some test prints and in Flexi there is a hi and lo option, didn't know what everyone else was using? And how many pass while I am asking?
  18. Install and bad inks

We had our tech in this morning for about a hour starting our install. Got as far as plugging in the ink carts and the light magenta ended up not wanting to take. Being rural she is out on a 4 hour drive to get another one to get us up and running today. She said that this is the third bad...
  19. school copyright

Just our experience. Our local college, the Gorillas, have gone after ANY business that has Gorillas in their name. And I know that they have licensing program to sell anything that references them. Most likely depends on the school though.
  20. Question on part on the printer

Referencing the black rubbery strip in a channel on the printing area, just in front of the media edge guides. Thinking about it I think I might know what it is, might be what the sensor reads for when checking media width? Well, we have sometime ago quit cutting heavier weight materials like...
