  1. Purchasing equipment, what I hate . . .

Telling people I bought a different printer. Maybe its because I have done so many in the past couple weeks, but I am glad that I have finally taken the last call from the dealers I got a quote from and told them they are not getting a check from us. Getting quotes on five different machines...
  2. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Monday, there is a transportation problem. Its not like this is our first printer, so we are already producing on what we have. And I have strongly thought about going ahead and finishing the setup. Its just like Christmas got pushed back a day is all.
  3. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Just got our installation pushed back till Tuesday.
  4. Attention HP l25500 owners!

I am strongly thinking about putting in for an additional one as well. The shop that demoed the printer for us was also looking into it too. And don't forget the take-up reel either.
  5. Attention HP l25500 owners!

We checked on the printer that we demoed and some of the heads had fired over 4L of ink. Thats over 5 cartridges. You may not always get that much but I figure I'll replace the heads when they fail rather then on a set schedule. Got ours out of the crate this weekend and rolled into place...
  6. Giving the HP it's own space.

Did you setup the printer yourself? We pulled ours out of the box but haven't gone any further then slapping on the wheels.
  7. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Would you mind sharing what Caldera cost you?
  8. Attention HP l25500 owners!

RIPs, hate 'em but got to have 'em. We are going to start with Flexi 10 since we already have it, and then possibly try and demo Onyx 10 if possible. And we just got the printer off of our "mobile dock" and into the shop. I don't plan on fully setting up the printer, but I don't think that it...
  9. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Its a great idea, rather then trying to hover the several hundred pound printer over the stand and line it up. Wish our iPF8300 was that way, wasn't hard to do, just would of been easier.
  10. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Anyone setup their own printer? Didn't know if it is required to have a tech do it, we are scheduled for sometime in the week of the 12th. Don't know if I can let that box sit here in my office for two weeks.
  11. Epson GS 6000 advise

Mike will tell you like he sees it. Convinced me to look elsewhere because of our workflow, that printer isn't made for everybody.
  12. Major Merger...maybe

They could create those jobs without the merger if they chose to. I thought what I read elsewhere was that they were going to bring those 5000 jobs back from overseas. They are just trying to make the DOJ look bad.
  13. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Not sure about the cost but there is a third party latex ink on the market now.
  14. Attention HP l25500 owners!

On wheels. We looked at a Seiko Colorpainter W-64 and it shook more then the L25500 does, smelled more too.
  15. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Same here. Going to leave banner material loaded in our JV3 for now, at least until we get comfortable with the L25500. Never thought that we would be running 4 different printers here but its fun to have lots of toys.
  16. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Matt from Advantage told me it had to ship by the 31st. Looks like HP may have a few more users because of this promotion. Hoping to hear when ours will be in tomorrow.
  17. What cutter to buy

IMO, nothing can touch a Summa.
  18. Attention HP l25500 owners!

I think our quotes were close to that amount. Received two in that price range and a couple others a few thousand more. Planning on calling the dealer when we get in in the morning to get ours coming.
  19. Software / Equipment Purchase - What seals the deal?

Completely agree. We have a supplier that we have dealt with all the way back to when we were trying to get our Colorspan Displaymaker up and running. And if he was a little higher then a competitor I wouldn't hesitate to go ahead and buy from him because I know the type of support that I will...
  20. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Does anybody running one of these printers notice an oily film on the prints when the exit the heaters? Checking some reviews over on the Onyxtalk forums and a couple of members there mention this issue.
